I feel like everyone forgets that the three gen 6 starters don’t have mega evolutions in the mega evolution generation. It’s completely realistic for us to start up with those starters and be given a mega stone so we can actually stick with our starters.

It’s so bizarre that they do not make anymore Eevee evolutions. Considering how popular they are in the Pokemon community, and the fact we haven’t seen a new one since gen 6 I’m thinking this would be widely celebrated by many. The art for Mimikyu is not new, back when in sun and moon time it has been shown off then too because I remember it so those who have seen it back then would already know what it really looks like, in fact back then it showed more, it showed that it holds a straight pole like stick that props up the head of the disguise. The steel Eevee evolution design looks familiar too because I felt it looked exactly like a fan art that I have seen, same for the flying one too but not as similar. That's just Froakie's froth bubble hood mask shaped to look like Vanillite.

I think it is completely possible we get the three kalos starters in a game set in kalos. The reason we got three completely different starters instead of the gen 4 starters was because we were exploring Sinnoh (Hisui) for the first time and Pokemon trainers. Starter Pokemon, And so on didn't exist. But it seems like they do in this game.

Game Freak has a rule they can base anything off a fan design. There are a few exceptions but there are so few of them, we're not sure what they are. During the indigo disk dlc, while designing the Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire they could look at any fan concepts.

I personally *don't* want a Vulpix pre-evolution. Vulpix itself is small enough as it is. Heck, I had to repurpose the Vulpix prevo from the Spaceworld leak as a side-species (bred from Vulpix, but is a different type and does not evolve into it). And just hearing people gush over how it _still_ has a chance and is such a good idea, just rubs me the wrong way. As for the cut Eeveelutions, the only way these cut Eeveelutions and any future ones outside of the former special type group could work is if they introduce a regional Eevee (good luck with future generations though) who can evolve into the other types (Flying, Bug, Ghost, Rock, Ground, Fighting, Poison, Dragon, Steel, etc.). Otherwise, we only have those eight, a G-Max Eevee anytime they revisit Galar, and other Pokemon of those unused types. Generally, it just sucks that GameFreak sets out to give people the opposite of what people want, all because people draw fanart of what they DO want. Is fanart a crime now simply because it costs us nice things. Mega Flygon and every Dunsparce evolution are potential examples of this.
