One person can make a difference, but a group can make a bigger one. I think if people are passionate about the same causes, they should come together as a united front, working together to do what they can. The great thing about KZbin is that it brings people together from all over the globe. Social media combined with people’s voices and compassion, can reach many people! A good start might be setting up a Facebook page where people can discuss different causes/projects throughout the world. Maybe every few months you could pick one (whether you find it or your subscribers do) that people can get behind and collectively try to volunteer, raise as much awareness and funds if needed.

yes but if you want to bring together a community it has to be community based, perhaps the community upvote causes which they think are doing great work and need more funding/awareness, those with the most upvotes at any time get time on homepage, in heat boards etc with information and links regarding how to get involved or donate. People who upvote or subscribe to causes can recieve personalised info as to what their actions have resulted in, can also register yourself as a participating member to a cause, more popular users (i.e louis cole) registering to a cause could also promote them and encourage others to take action. one of many features which could be implemented for a good cause :)

So Alex Day has his like "nermy" army where basically his fans who live near each other meet up and just do whatever. I think that we could take that basic idea where people from the same communities/states who happen to watch Louis' videos could somehow meet up together like once a month or something and plan out ways to help their own communities as well as communities around the world. It'd be nice if like each area of people somehow conducted an international trip where they can help others globally (seeing as regularly they'd be helping their own community/state).

A large majority of your viewers are teenagers Louis, so money can be tight and this would be a little challenging but here is just an idea I'm throwing out there: Every 3 months or so, organize a volunteer program to somewhere and people (your viewers) who are interested can apply and you can choose from 20-30 people however you want to and take them with you to a volunteer, charity, conference, any sort of non profit organization that has a program or event going on that would consist of us helping others and making the world a better place. Again just an idea in my mind. Love what you are doing and you inspire me to do the same. x

I think creating a forum could be a good idea, because it would allow your viewers to become friends with one another and have actual discussions and all, while still provinding a place for you to talk about your new projects or fundings etc.. Now the only downside about this is that there definitely needs to be several admins taking care of the forum, I've seen several cases where it can go really wrong..

I think one key thing is to create a better environment for online discussion. There are so many KZbin comments and they are not categorized in any way, so it is really difficult to hold a conversation. Creating an online message board and moderating it carefully to focus the discussion would definitely help.

Matilda90 Sounds like a brilliant idea! Donate all of the ad revenue that the channel generates, and Louis wouldn't need to commit too much time because we could edit them ourselves. Good platform for young/new filmmakers to get some recognition too whilst drawing attention to subjects and social causes they feel passionate about.

I think the best way to interact with everyone would be using an online forum. You could have a sub forum dedicated to projects, or broken down into continents where fundraising ideas can be shared. I feel like this video was so relevant to me. I'm leaving college/sixth form in 12 weeks and I have to decide what to do with my life, all I've ever wanted to do since I started watching youtube videos at like 12 years old was MAKE KZbin videos, I haven't applied to university because there's honestly nothing I want to do more, I have no ambition to do anything else. I currently work at a super market as a part time job on top of being a student and am scared to death that I'll get stuck there forever, don't get me wrong I'm so lucky that I have a job unlike so many others and something that gives me some extra money but day after day it just stresses me out and I think that I'll never be where I want to be. I know so many people want to do KZbin as a job and because I'm so aware of my dream I've encouraged other people to share and look at each others work, I try and raise the idea on forums, sub reddits, etc and nothing really takes off. I think if we had a ground to share our own work and look at each others work it would make such a difference

whatever you do with the bus should be driven and run by this community. it could be a really powerful force and people in the community could choose to what degree they want to be involved whether it being setting up a way for a few people at a time to come help you down to just giving support through money or kind words. Oh god you just make smile with all your positivity and the way you want to make the world a better place. These vlogs and the past ones that you were in kenya are my favorite ones of all the vlogs you have posted, and i have been a subscriber since the very begining. Personally it problably is because of what im living in my country right now, Venezuela is in basically war and the goverment is killing and represing us. The world needs to know whats happening over here, and that is very hard even for us since they have took power over the media and since this is a dictatorship, the goverment punishes our journalist and politics that say what is really happening over here. The way we (the people) find out? Social media, twitter, posting photos from our phones and reporting what is the situation currently. Sad and hard times for us right now, but we muts keep fighting for our liberty.

It would be amazing if we could all collectively do a building project for people in developing countries or close to the UK, and viewers could offer their time to volunteer to empower those who require it the most. But we have to make sure that the projects are a long term solution so something such as homelessness or poverty within a particular region. And there would have to be on-going support for those people moving into houses. The better the community support and local people involved the better I say. At my old job we had about 80 employees. One Christmas, someone suggested we should do some charity work, and from there we formed a charity group for our employees. Each month the group voted on either a special project or a charity organization that we wanted to help and anyone who wanted to participate could. I liked it because we got to spread our efforts around and help a lot of different people. With this youtube community, there are I'm sure so many organizations world wide that need help. I think it would be good to have a monthly project; even if its just to one organization, but just different things that people can do...so maybe one month its food drive, the next its donations, the next volunteer work, etc.

A cool way I think that we could bring our little community together is and bringing the people around us together is too have a meet up where I live at the Cleveland Food Bank and volunteer for a few hours. I have volunteered at this place before and I had such a great time and felt very good about what I was doing, and walked away with a feeling of wanting to help more. Hello Louis, Firstly I just want to say how great I think you are. Your youtube videos are so brilliant and your positive attitude and personality is so contagious, I can't help but smile whilst watching your vlogs. I could relate alot to this video, particularly the last few minutes when you spoke of the direction you want to take your life. I personally am just finished with my education and now it is time for me to figure out what it is I want to do with my life - and scarily enough I don't have a clue. However what I do know is that I want to help those less fortunate than myself and I want my adventures to have a purpose, for I believe there is no better way than ending a day knowing you have made someone elses that bit better. I have been to Kenya on two occasions to teach and build classrooms - it was the greatest experience of my life and I hope to return again some day, who knows maybe one day I will be going out to complete charity work with you and this "youtube" community if we all become connected and closer. As somebody who is still in school and not able to go far to developing places myself, i think events to raise awareness organised every so often would be good and a lot of help. Maybe a tour starting in the UK and maybe expanding to other places later on? And when i say a tour, like you said not just events where people arrive just to meet you and talk to you, maybe setup a forum/blog to discuss ideas and events to raise money and awareness for these communities and then when a new idea is chosen each time there is a gathering and everyone plays their own part? You could sort of combine meetups with some impactful activities... like a carwash meetup where you will be washing other people's / each other's cars where the money will go to a project.. or you will do a meetup, but also meet up with elderly people to help them have a fun day... or where some people who sing/ play instruments bring them to the meet up and you jamm together and earn some money for charity while entertaining the public and yourself with the music.. stuff like that. You get the idea. Activities that either raise money for charity and/or have a direct impact on the community where you're staying. You can do different things each meet up (where-ever in the world you are you can try and do something relevant there..) or you can try and find one/some signature Fun-For-Louis (what are your fans called..?) activity that, wherever you have a meet up. your fans know what the idea will be.

Referring to your question at the end...I'm not sure if you already have one but like create a website where meetups can be set up around the world, as well as the ability to share stories/ideas/photos/videos of raising money for charity projects around the world. I think that´s a wonderful idea and I sure would love to join such a group! I think sometimes people are a little skeptical towards fundraising projects, because they don´t know exactly where they´re money is going towards, but if we all could do something to create a concrete a link between the donors and the charities, whilst working in loco with the organizations, it would be brilliant. I mean, obviously it´s not only the funds that matter in these situations, I think a lot also involves a task force, a group of people with a lot of energy and various skills just willing to help and improve the lives of others.

Although starting a fund as mentioned by Mr Ben Brown seems like a reasonable idea, we need something different to separate it from the norm. You have fans all over the world, why don't you just use that? People within their cities should know areas/ people in need and do community work whenever you're in the local city. For example, you tell people where you are going and they can organise a small yet effective project within the local area which you can associate yourself in louis. Although this seems a bit tough, if you want to change the world, you don't expect someone else to do it, you go out and you put the smile on that persons face. I'm sure if people really want to help, organizing and coming together with you in their local city to help those in need won't be impossible. Although this does seem slightly drastic due to younger viewers as such, they can also get their parents/ friends involved. I'm sure you will eventually get some press on this and then people will start donating. If this does happen you will not need to start a charity of such, however you will have funds to do bigger projects in the cities you visit. So in the long run you can basically use these funds to setup projects within the city you're visiting (with assistance from locals who live there of course, not just going to randomly assign a project). But yeh ask locals in advance which areas need help, organise something simple yet effective and execute the objective when you're there. This is how you make a movement, not with a foundation but with your own actions.

Ever thought about encouraging people with mental health issues? Personally, when I watch your videos, the main reason is because they always manage to uplift my mood and make me feel inspired. A lot of people/young people have no drive, I think your personality is something we can all learn from and aspire to, be happier and more full of life, even if for some it's extremely difficult. Sometimes it's just knowing you're not alone in a sea of people that can really make a difference.

I was born in Melbourne! Go and check the skydeck, they send you out of the main skyscraper in Melbourne its really fun, plus there's alot of nice areas to skate ;)

The organization I went to Africa with had team leaders that recruited a group of people to make yearly trips. Maybe Andy and yourself could do a yearly trip where you choose a handful of subscribers (who of course are interested in going) to fly out and help with you guys. They could also help raise the funds or simply pay their fare..that's up to you guys.

Maybe a forum type blog that you can upload content while sharing updates on traveling and promote charities and projects you're working out. Also allows the community to post content and share ideas as well as donate and support

I think it would be cool, especially for the KZbin/Internet community to start an online forum and from that, showcase and network with other vloggers and creators. It could strengthen the bond between us subscribers and you. Meanwhile, spreading the word about videos and causes .

A great way I support my local and global community is through the charity Free the Children. It is an amazing charity founded in Canada which is now branching to the US and the UK. It's partner is Me to We which produces sustainable clothing and volunteer trips, in which part of the profit goes towards paying for The charity's administrative fees. I highly recommend checking it out.
