We couldn’t leave Australia without visiting our favorite Australian! Today we flew from Townsville to Brisbane, Australia for a few days before leaving this beautiful country. Then we flew overnight from Brisbane to Singapore, then back to Da Nang, Vietnam again where we'll continue our journey in the next video. :)
If you were curious… The name of the place we stayed by the airport is the “Da Nang Boutique Hotel.” Like we said, it was giant, nice, with great food and drinks, however there was only one small AC unit in that big room, so it was quite warm unfortunately!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this KZbin channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

I’m so glad that you considered going to Queensland when you went to Australia. I may be biased as I’m from Brisbane (which is in QLD) but I’ve noticed that when people usually visit, they go to Melbourne or Sydney, and not QLD or South Australia, Northern Territory or West Australia, or Tasmania (yes uneducated people, there’s more than two states) and completely overlook amazing sceneries and adventures. Queensland is full of so many things. We have Southbank, a massive man-made beach with real sand and salt water, REAL beaches (that have awesome waves, aren’t overcrowded usually, and pretty good temperatures) and of course, the crown jewel of our state, the Great Barrier Reef. I was there a few years ago in Cairns. It’s amazing and I do not regret it one bit. I’m so happy you guys visited and I hope you come back soon!

When you were traveling Europe with Charlie I felt like I went on a road trip with good friends. It was so awesome and fun! Love it! I too did the Cathay Vietnam fare and spent about a week in Australia (from a Air New Zealand deal), before overnighting in Vietnam to start the journey. I wish I had more time because Vietnam is lovely, but I spent a week there in 2017. Great to have "local" friends isn't it?!?
