Oh Molly!! I know what it is to adjust to life back home after traveling in Aus! I was there for 6 months in 2019 and it was a lot emotionally. But at the end of it I was desperate for a proper brew, my fam and my dog. You and Tom have done so well. Plenty of sleep, rest and tea will help🤍🥹 Welcome home!!

I’ve been back in the UK for 4 months after travelling Asia and Australia for 13 months and I’m still not adjusted to life here. We came back from Aus for personal family reasons but we are definitely planning on going back to Aus at some point because UK life is just not the same. It’s nice to see our friends and families again but the novelty soon wears off. It’ll be interesting to see how you feel about being back after a few weeks/months x

It’s honestly the weirdest experience to come home after a long time away - even when you’re in touch with your folks all the time you always get that feeling that they’ve somehow changed but you don’t feel you have - best advise is don’t rush into anything, take each day as it comes and slowly settle into everyday life as you sort out what you want next

I moved to New York for 3 months with my boyfriend this summer on a student work/travel visa and coming home was honestly awful. It was so great to see my family, but going to sleep without my boyfriend felt so strange and it was so different to when I was home before. Luckily I moved back to uni a couple of days later, and of course I adjusted. I do feel that i will never move back home with my parents which is something i didn't think before going..

I think one of the hardest parts of coming home after living abroad at least for me was no longer knowing where home is, like it’s been several years where I’m back home and it no longer fully feels like home, but part of that is being in your 20s, I’m sure.
