Flying Jetblue Mint in 2021for only $308 (SFO - FLL Flight 578 Review). Is it worth it?

Hello and Welcome back to my channel. On January 5th 2021 I took a flight from SFO to FLL on board Jetblue Mint. I have to say it was quite comfortable and worth every penny. I was able to do an upgrade last minute at the gate for only $308 per passenger (on top of my $300 + round trip original airfare). I hope you enjoy it!

As a former flight attendant, I never understood the rational for purchasing a first class or even business class ticket when flying domestically within the US. The flights are not really long enough to justify the expense, unless you have money to burn. The only exception would be if you're flying from the mid-west or east coast non-stop to Honolulu. To truly experience the best business class or first class service one should consider it for trans oceanic flights to Europe, Africa, South America, Asia and Australia.

I did RT from EWR-LAS in Feb. on Mint and I loved it. Absolutely worth it. Doing it again in May but JFK-LAS for $600 RT. Can't beat it.

The wife and I fly B6-115 Mint later in April. I'm so psyched to go! We never flown JetBlue, especially Mint, It looks awesome and equally relaxing. Even though we are FFs with both Delta and United we chose JetBlue for the superb inflight service. I can't wait for this flight, thanks for sharing the video! GW

No place I'm itching to go right now, but I think for a flight of more than an hour or two this would be soooo worth it, and it would be a part of the trip experience, as opposed to just a way to get somewhere.

Ah! You definitely got the older headphones. I guess they weren't supplied with the new and refreshed headphones in SFO.

Hi there, I'm considering flying Mint on the same itinerary SFO to FLL and found your video very helpful, thank you! The only flight I found with Mint route is the night time. Which one did you go for? Which original fare did you get, I only thought of splurging on the Mint after I already booked the Blue Basic wonder if it is eligible for upgrading at the gate???

Hi Linh, thank you for the feedback, i'm glad it was helpful! I originally booked a Blue Fare, my return flight was 578 (Departing at 10:35 am arriving 6:43 pm). I approached the agent at the gate 15 minutes before boarding and since they had space available i was able to get a last minute upgrade for an additional $309.00. Please note price can change depending on time and availability. Have a safe flight!

JetBlue never cut costs like other airlines did during Covid. Delta is the worst of the cost dotting airlines in delta one.

My only concern is without staggered seating or pods in Business Class, how do you get up to use the Lav? If the person on the aisle seat is sleeping?

I just booked with JetBlue mint with an aisle seat.. thinking of changing to a window seat though.. all suites are taken. if you fly mint again would you still take a window seat over the aisle?

I would prefer the window seat for sure in order to enjoy the views that we don't see on a daily basis. If there are no window seats available see if the person next to you is willing to change but don't let this hold you back from experiencing mint. Safe travels!
