Welcome to another video! Today we'll be flying the Dutch Flag Carrier, KLM! Founded in 1919, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name. A few months ago, I took a trip from Porto to Amsterdam on one of the airlines Boeing 737-800's which had just been retrofitted with the brand new short/medium-haul cabin. Just 14 of the 31 737-800s in KLM's fleet are being retrofitted with all new Recaro seats, USB Power in Economy Class, Wi-Fi, larger overhead bins, and moonlighting. The 737's will be phased out in favor of the Airbus A320/A321neo, of which KLM will begin taking delivery of in mid-2024. Come along as I fly the world's oldest airline on a flight from Porto in Nothern Portugal to their home base at Amsterdam Schiphol!
Enjoy!
