Flying My Daughter to the Outer Banks | Part 1 | Private Pilot Cherokee 235

In late 2021, my sister and her husband, and my wife and I, went together to purchase a vacation home in Corolla, NC - a beautiful town on the northern end of the Outer Banks.
For today's flight, my daughter and I depart Fairmont with 24-knot winds and a wind shear AIRMET, and head to KONX (Currituck Regional Airport) to meet up with my wife who's already in Corolla.
