Great video, looked like a lot of fun! Just curious if you have floats when flying over so much water. I'd also recommend unbuckling your legs straps. If you go it, things happen fast and you want to get away from that unit (speaking from experience).

I stayed in Collins Ave on South Beach on my first ever visit to the USA in July 1999 when I flew nonstop 14h30mi. from Cape Town to Miami on SAA when we still used to have a world class airline. Now sadly destroyed by our new currupt African Government. Keep up the great posts. Love it!!!

Well Chucky, I've withheld my comments on your posts, figuring you'd get plenty of "direction" from others, that's usually how I roll. Like @Prague 541 has said, your reputation for recklessness seems to be finding a bit of a turn around. FWIW, a significant percentage of my total PPG flying has been from the beaches. What a great privilege huh? Good on ya for asking around with authorities first. The Miami crew has gone to great lengths to preserve some key urban launch spots and for the most part has done a great job in that regard. They've worked well with the parks and recreation authorities. If I could suggest one thing that I have worked to get everyone to incorporate, it is that I absolutely minimize motor running on the beach with beach goers around. A quick warm up is one thing, but once landing is assured, it's motor off. Trip and fall with the motor running on sand and you wont likely get hurt, but if you goose the throttle in the fall, it looks and sounds bad. Nobody pays attention if you fall after touchdown with the motor off anyways. Specifically I'm talking about how you let the motor idle as you kited your wing back down after landing...it could just as well have been off. Quiet and safer. It's a very minor point, but I feel it's Donald Trump huge, in the impression we give, particularly to tourists that may never have seen a PPG rig. How they perceive our safety, but more importantly their own while they are vacationing, may be one of the first reasons they offer feedbacks to surveys and local authorities. Anyhow, enjoying your enthusiasm. Stay safe. Maybe we'll run into each other soon.
