I Am Proud To Say I Have Worked Alongside Betty. I Never Thought I Would Retire Before She Did. However, After 30yrs In 2016 I Retired Leaving Betty Still Going Strong. She Is A Class Act. She Is The Real Deal. Consider Yourself Very Lucky If You Are Fortunate Enough To Have Betty Serve You On Your Next Flight.👍🇺🇸

she don't look 80 she looks late 50s I kept a job I hated and ended up disabled a short 5 years later my family kept crying I would die in a crash in the air. I just died a different way keeping a low paying job I hated and could not afford to live on, long working hours, having 2 part time jobs with no benefits. 55hours but both no benefits and part time still could not afford a car or a apartment. a tiny room in a flop hotel my parents in a nursing home. My Aunt put them their not me but everyone wanted me to stay in town . Stuck in a dead end existance and that broke me down for disabilty, over work and no vacation for years did it.

This lovely lady is a stunning example of a dedicated person who loves and lives their job. Someone should give her a free intercontinental First Class return flight (with a week or two of fully paid holiday in a good hotel) to an overseas destination of her choice- to acknowledge her commitment and to honour her, as a symbolic "thank you" for all those decades of hard work. Let her fly as a guest with an excellent flag carrier airline such as Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Emirates, Lufthansa, Finnair, JAL or whatever in that category...and let her enjoy a good luxurious experience, as long as she can. She deserves it!!!

She is! She’s actually not the only AA flight attendant in their 80s either but she does have the most seniority. There are a few just a couple years behind her that started flying in the early 60s as well!

they don't serve food now, you got to buy it. but the air tickets are very cheap , more expesive to go by train now. It was cheaper to go by train and the bus was the cheapest. If things had stayed the same, the common class would still be taking Grayhound buses Ticket from New York to Los Angeles on Couch would be about $3,000. now if they kept the things the same as 40 years ago. First and Business is about $5,000. $10,000. being a then type of Couch is not worth it so most upper class who have family of 8 or more go private jet costing about $10,000. each total jet $100,000. Los Angeles to New York or V/V Honolulu to New York is $20,000. First Class and private jet $200,000. The family or group of at least 8 goes private jet. One Person takes First Class Unless they are Millionaires and can pay $100,000. for one person to New York to Los Angeles or V/V pay $200,000. Honolulu to New York or V/V.

Flying was actually a privilege back then reserved for the well off. Even in the early 90s. Passengers would often wear suits onboard. Although the planes were smaller and holds less passengers, the seating and room leg were actually more spacious. Fast forward to 2016...Companies like Airbus and Boeing are trying to squeeze as many people as they can on-board turning it into a modern day slave cargo. Flying business and first class feels like the economy class now.
@ianmarquezgarcia8 жыл бұрын
+Kron Hertz well not everyone cares about the leg space and seating room. some people just want to go on a cheap trip to somewhere
@wilbleeker82228 жыл бұрын
As a tall person, over 5'6" or 1.7m with a flight of 3 -14 hrs, leg space becomes a problem. Sadly, Slave Cargo, more accessible though it is, is a fitting description.

+Fahad Alassaf so what if they're the nicest. When your in the Middle East there is a higher chance of workers being radicals like on the last two planes that were blown down the workers were radicals and handed bombs off to the suicide bombers.
