FLYING on the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey"

I had a flight on Sentimental Journey this past weekend. That was about the coolest thing I have ever done and an incredible experience. For those of you wondering if you should book a flight...yes. Yes you should. It's truly amazing. There's nothing quite like this beautiful warbird's engines roaring. Thank you for this video!

I joined the CAF back in July of 2023 after flying on SJ. In the 10 months I have been a member, I have logged 6 flights (SJ, 2 on Maid in the Shade, SNJ T-6, and 2 on my squadrons AT-19). I am a member of Airbase Arizona now and will accompany these two bombers to my home state of NY in July. The CAF has afforded me opportunities people only dream about!

I have a ticket to ride in a couple of weeks. I've been fascinated with WW2 aircraft since middle school and I'm very excited. Gonna wear my crusher cap even if people think I'm a nerd.

My son and I flew in this plane in 2003. It was the most thrilling experience of our lives. I sat up in the nose and my son sat behind me. If you get the chance to go up, take it no matter the cost.

I got to ride in this beautiful aircraft at Idaho Falls , Idaho in July. Great experience with a great crew. If you can ever do it, I fully recommend it!!!

My wife bought me a seat on Sentimental Journey a couple of years ago. Ironically, I sat in the radio operator's seat, the same seat as this video.

It is absolutely gorgeous there. I'm not a fan of the cold, but I'd love to go there in spring when the snow is melting and just sit and listen to trains go by.
