I found this video when looking at types of kites. Is this remote controlled in some way? It sounded like it was by the things you said, but why would you be worried about it landing in the tree if that was the case? If it's not r/c, how do you get it to come back to you?

Yup! These are remote controlled. There is no motor/propulsion, so it is purely a glider. The radio controls servos which moves the control surfaces on the wings and tails to change direction, attitude, speed, and the amount of lift the wing produces.

What's the best altitude you can achieve for the conditions

For launches? So far my best is around 64 or 65m in calm air.

What is the next step up from dream flight libelle ? Kite or mini dart2?

I have a lot of customers who have went directly from the Libelle to 1.5m successfully, so I’d say Kite would be a better choice between the two.
