During World War Two, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber was the Army Air Force’s next generation bomber. It was three stories high, was the first bomber to require a flight engineer, and had pressurized cabins. Flying at 30,000 feet, it was a marvel of engineering. This Army Air Force instructional video from 1944 was for B-29 pilots, and shows them to operate and fly the Superfortress, from pre-flight checks, to crew inspections, to all procedures taking off, flying, and landing the plane. This instructional video also instructed them on co-pilot and combat crew procedures and their responsibilities. For exciting video and more information on the B-29’s role in the Pacific theater of World War Two, please see my video Forgotten Desolation: Firebombing Japanese Cities at • Forgotten Devastation:...
