This is important: John talked about people making comments about his daughter’s hair. I should have said something on that video, but I was so emotional that I didn’t do anything. But now I think I need to speak up. Firstly, dad was absolutely perfect when he explained that sometimes the baby’s hair is going to look a bit frizzy. They play a lot during travel and it’s not always easy to maintain black hair. Mama has repeatedly demonstrated that she IS Tyanna’s mother and SHE FABULOUSLY cares for her daughter. I raised black twin girls. It’s a struggle to keep black hair ACCEPTABLE. We are in America and white people’s edges are always going to be acceptable. However, soon as a little black girl starts to sweat and her edges kink up, it is frowned upon. I want people to ease up: Tyanna is a real person and sometimes her black hair is going to be BLACK HAIR! Tyanna is one of the great ones because her parents are so smart, so loving, and so aware.
