I never realized until I started flying with friends how EASY it is to lose sight of them! The whole new dynamic of up and down can really throw you. Someone goes low while I'm watching an aircraft way out in the distance for a minute ... now they're nowhere to be found! You literally have to look EVERYWHERE - up, down, sideways, diagonally, and everywhere in between. No close calls yet, but it has trained me to be hyper vigilant of where everyone is at all times. My buddy has been flying PPC over 20 years, and he told me he lost me as well up there. On the ground, there's only so many places one can be - in the sky, it's infinite. AWESOME shots, fellas!!

Do they make a device that will beep whenever another pilot is flying near? Seems like that would come in very handy.

@@GodsItalianStallion ADS-B has that capability. Required in light aircraft, but not ultralights. Would be very expensive and difficult to install on a paramotor.

So Ive been wanting to get into paragliding for many years now, dad and uncle are pilots, im windsurfer kitesurfer sailor etc and I finally found a friend who paraglides and will fly with me when I have my training and gear. I have been binge watching your channel and now want to motorglide cause I could fly in my backyard that way. Your channel has taught me a lot and gets me more excited about flying with every video. Thank you so much for what you do, please keep it up and stay up! You guys are awesome and have converted one more person!
@Rigatonispaghettioly3 жыл бұрын
Hello! I’m in much the same situation, I’ll give you my two cents for free! I’m going to learn paragliding first for a few reasons. 1.cost as it’s much cheaper 2. You can use the same wing for paragliding and motoring so I can basically get one piece of kit first that will be used for the other. 3. And last but not least I’ve been told you get a better feel for listening to your wing from paragliding (less weight= more sensitive)
@Rigatonispaghettioly3 жыл бұрын

Hi Tucker, you are without a doubt an excellent pilot and the best PPG KZbinr. This video is amazing ..but in recent videos you have repeatedly crossed the boundaries of safe flying. Many pilots have you as a role model and will try the same as you. And what if they can't do it? When that happens, will you feel moral responsibility for their injury or death? Likewise, the probability that something will go wrong for you increases. May happiness remain with you!!!

It is good to see the honest debrief occurring and it would be good to reflect on how this could be prevented in the future. To minimise the risk a brief, between friends, could have probably avoided the mid air risk. In commercial aviation our briefs are overwhelmingly threat based and relevant. So for this video a mid air risk is clearly worth discussing. I’m not yet able to get into paramotoring but as an outsider perhaps an agreement on altitude or time deconfliction, the old adage of plan the flight, fly the plan, etc but basically how can that threat be avoided, how would you trap that you are getting too close and finally what mitigation’s can be deployed? A review of reserve deployment, etc. Naturally this may be perceived as going against the free spirit nature of the sport but one hates to see people coming to harm and a relaxed brief could keep things exciting still, but safe. I can’t wait to start paramotorimg and these videos are really inspiring
