One detail I loved to have noticed after rewatching his flight to the moon, is that, at every leap Hancock did to get further from her, before the flight, his landing progressively went from chaotic to heroic. His first landing breaking the ground. His second landing barely scratching it. And his third landing, finally reaching the superhero landing.

This was making her immortality more painful than it already was so she decided not to find him again after he was attacked at the theatre. They have to be physically close for an extended period of time. They hadn’t be close enough both exerting power when they had the original fights but had been by the end of the film it ultimately doesn’t take long. Also the screen said a month had passed between his escape and the phone-call & when he flew away he looked as if he was heading to the moon & I suppose you can’t get much further away so I’m guessing he was there the full month. I know this is a superhero movie and it’s meant to be a little ridiculous but WHAT THE FUCK? That big red heart is the size of Europe. All the red paint in the world wouldn’t be enough to do that. Even if it were did he steal it all? Trillions of dollars worth. Maybe he took a bunch of red rocks from mars and arranged them into a heart. But he would have to transport them one Handful at a time. Even traveling at light speed that would take centuries going there and back. Centuries spent not fighting crime. Maybe he learned he has laser vision and burned it into the moon? But then it would be black not red right? This scene is fuckn’ nuts.

So they're not God's per say, or they're based of Hera and Zeus, but the question is who made them have that insurance policy that they become human when they fall in "love"?

Agreed. Then we have “Ray” the white male ‘husband’ character aka Public relations manager and handler/ AA sponsor aka the sun/son/father ray🌞 who subliminally spares them all. Hancock signed a will and nonverbal “contract” to be single or they all are sacrificed (the white family and him and the little boys dreams, Ray’s son idea of heroism). Handcock/Will has to keep his distance for all of this to work. Can you say invisible restraining order aka black “male”. ? Symbolized message: love you-to the moon ❤but can’t go back to Black. The black onsie suit symbolizes death. He has to remain isolated and obscured which makes the ‘first family rich’ while he flies around doing all the hidden work. 🌚 It’s in his John Hand cock. 👋 Cheers 🥂

Hancock (2008) ‒ The story of a powerful transcendental love being flushed down the toilet The movie is a revolutionary masterpiece that pushed boundaries and challenged societal norms as it redefined the concept of love. When two people love each other, nothing is more important than her happiness. If you're a woman, you deserve _everything._ Not just: money, acceptance, understanding, love and happiness. You deserve more. You deserve to be worshiped like the goddess that you are. You have one responsibility in life, to know that you are a goddess. Don't think you are! Know you are! If you're a man, your happiness must be defined as "that which makes _her_ happy". The more you love a woman the more you should celebrate her happiness. And, you should be happy not despite the fact that she's happy without you, but _because_ she's happy without you. Because you know you don't deserve her. But more importantly, you know she deserves better. As a man, you should be extatic if you can contribute to a woman's happiness at all. Because, as we all know, a women don't need men. Women are strong and independent. This movie reminds me of old blackface movies. Remember those movies? Black face was used to caricature black people for comedic effect. It was how the entertainment business used to normalize and justify racism back in the day. This movie does a similar thing. Men are caricatured. Mary is a goddess. Or, maybe the movie is not a critique of traditional gender roles. Maybe it's about some BDSM stuff. Maybe the movie is a statement that Dominant people should not be together because their "power" shines best when they are in a relationship with a submissive person. Or, maybe it's a philosophical question. If you could choose one thing, what would you choose, power or love?
