The staff on these Asian carriers seem laid back and keen to make your flight experience a good one. Contrast this to American carriers, especially at the gate.

Another good video, thanks for taking the time to do them.😀👍 A suggestion. Can we see one on how you organise your luggage, cabin bag, travel documents etc etc? The hacks you use to keep yourself organised etc. 😀

Another fabulous video! Thank you for sharing your experience. In light of Singapore and Qatar Airways both having severe turbulence issues... it would be reassuring for some of us anxious fliers if aviation kings such as yourself could share your experiences with turbulence over the years, how to best deal with it and how to ensure it doesn't stop us fron travelling by air in the future.

It was economy on Uzbekistan Airways in the cheapest seats I could find, but the price I got was pretty amazing. I was seated just in front of their bathrooms and, in flight, I met some charming passengers as they waited. I've flown US economy on several airlines and my expectations were low, but met, nonetheless. I'll admit, I was taken aback when the co-pilot came back to me, handed me a grease rag and asked me to check the oil in both engines. It was apparently proper in Europe since he handed me a laminated card of directions. I came back, reported the left engine was a quart low, and found my wife was busily cleaning their bathrooms as we pushed back. Again though, we got a really good deal for our tickets and neither of us minded taking the captain and FO's dinner trays off to the trash with instructions to drop them at the McDonalds (We do hope Uzbekistan Airways will recycle more of their trash very soon.).

Looks amazing ! I went to Tashkent enroute to Moscow years ago and always thought how fascinating it looked. Sadly I only had an Aeroflot refueling layover onboard an IIyushin 86 !

I was in Manas with the US Air Force in 2004. One of the coldest winter's I ever experienced haha...but it was an awesome place to be for an AvGeek with all the old Soviet and Russian aircraft there. I would love to go back and see what it's like now...such a throw back to the soviet era. So neat. Safe travels!

The 'stans have always interested me on how they emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union. I can't remember if you have visited Kazakhstan and it's national airline? I have heard good things about that airline. Finally, loved the infusion of Aussie slang with the , "Ya, Naw" list of job you'd like to do!!! Cheers, mate.

Great video. There are more than 5 'stans, which ones are you referring to?
@YukonGhibli6 ай бұрын
The five stans refers to the five post Soviet stans, not every country with the suffix 'stan'.

I hope not kid. Last thing anyone wants are whiney kids on the phones, making off colour comments for an entire trip, without the ability to find the locations on a globe (half likely think the earth is flat as that feckless nonsense spreads online also).
