Michael Thank you Michael! I test flew a Velocity about 20 years ago...... from that point on it was my goal as well! About 4 years ago , that goal was finally realized! It is a wonderful aircraft ! Missed seeing your landing at Tahoe in those gusts. Recall what the winds were and how does the Velocity handle landing in them?

It was a very breezy day. The wind rolling over the mountain peeks make it very unpredictable. As you saw things calmed down above the lake. The landing was a bumpy one. Helen was so focused on our landing that she forgot to film it! Lol!

What a great aircraft! I saw this design when it first came out and thought it the future of aviation. I wish the sounds of the aircraft were on video not music. I think more enthusiast like me think same thing.

The iPad app is FLYQ by Seattle Avionics. I t is connected to SkyRadar ADSB receiver via WIFI.

What was the density altitude in Tahoe? and the takeoff run in the vid?

Andrew Abernathy it was cold that day, so destiny altitude would be less than the field elevation of 6400 ft. Don't know what the take off run was... but we got hit by some turbulence on climb out.
