A tip I learned from a transatlantic flight was take two styrofoam cups and get a flight attendant to boil water , then get paper towels wet with the hot water squeeze the paper towels to moist but not dripping and stick them in the bottom of the cups- place a cup over each ear of the baby. Like magic the baby will stop crying! Works every time! Their little ears suddenly feel normal and they calm right down. I have been on flights with babies screaming for hours and no one offers to help- I am always amazed that flight attendants nowadays don't know this trick. I have had flight attendants stand in awe , ironically it was a flight attendant that taught me many years ago. Even when there is a language barrier it still is a welcome assist!

@@giselleh2399 I've used this technique before, hot water moistened paper towel goes on the inside of the cup, pushed to the bottom. What you are doing is creating warm steamy air that releases the pressure inside their little ears. Works like a charm, especially if the kiddo has an ear infection or similar.

Clean their nose! Aspirators! Nose Frida! Saline Solution! Whatever you're using, get that airway to be clean and clear right before takeoff and landing. We were recommended this by my brother's pediatrician years ago and it works like a charm! And then ....feed feed feed, suck suck suck 🙈👍 The slight pressure from headphones also really helps their ears actually!

I found flying with a baby way easier than a toddler. Yeah some people may have seen my boobs but it always went pretty well. I found the lack of a changing table the most disappointing and difficult thing. They told me to put a blanket on the toilet seat instead. I didn't and got in trouble for changing her on the floor instead but it was really all I could do.

The only thing the airlines says is "a reasonable amount" so how long are you traveling? How much does your baby drink? Just calculate it from there! They can't tell you not to bring it and unless you're bringing GALLONS worth, they can't tell you it's too much, especially when YOU know how much YOUR BABY drinks lol

Best tip is don't take them on planes at all. Flights are expensive and the least I expect is to travel in comfort and peace and quiet. Airlines should put them all together in the back of the plane like they used to do with smokers and let them annoy each other. Its time the silent majority spoke up against these selfish and inconsiderate parents. Its ironic that these brats are on the plane for free but they make life a misery for fare paying passengers. Airlines need to get a grip of this situation and charge all passengers the same regardless of age.

@@heyshayla I ve had some bad experiences about this. I once saw one vomit on another passenger and the mother never even apologised. So entitled its unbelievable. I've also had so many flights ruined by them. I'm not asking for much when I expect to travel in peace and quiet. It should be a given. The airlines create a lot of these problems too by their stupid policy of mixing them randomly with the other passengers. Japan Airlines now has a picture of a baby in the seating plan so we know where the are and you can book seats away from them. More Airlines need to do this.
