Loved the video, super interesting. Why fly with the in ears? I would've thought that was an easy thing to just rent on location.

Sometimes its easier to fly our own as we have all our settings on there so they always sound exactly the same. And if the hire for getting them on location is more expensive than just adding an extra case to our flight then its better to fly the ones we already own.

I use the rode NT55's at the moment. But i would like to switch them out for a large diaphragm condenser as the band dont really have them in their ears and its more for me recording the show. I feel they might get a bit of a clearer sound on recordings.
