Hey! Im a sound tech in Finland, and the artist I'm with this year has a uTrack24 as well, and I haven't gotten the uRemote to work at all. Do you have a newer version of the software, mine is version 1.2.055. Have a great summer man!

How do you do the 32 channel split? Simple Y split or do you use transformers to isolate the monitor rig from FOH?

We hired a 32 channel split from a company that’s now mounted in there. I’ll do an update video of the rack soon.

Why use two desks? Is there not enough outputs to run monitors from the foh desk, but maybe controlled remotely by ipad?

Also interested to know what foh sends you use, is it just LR or subs, side fills etc?

if you have a monitor engineer available, having a dedicated control surface to mix monitors is so much nicer than relying on iPads! the second desk can just be slave on the audio bus and route it's output to in ear transmitters. Added bonus: if a desk goes faulty you have a backup touring with you

Normally we have an M32C on stage and the band mix their own IEM's and then i mix the wedges from FOH. But for this tour we have a dedicated monitor engineer so he will be running the IEM's and the Wedges from his own console on stage to make it easier for him to change things mid show if needed.

Most of the time i ask for Left, Right, Sub, Fill so i have more control of the room. Some times smaller venues cant accommodate this so im always ready to just send LR if thats the only option.

For this run we are going in to an XLR split and each M32 has its own DL32 so the monitor console is completely independent

I'm back to using my m32r on this to save a bit on audio hire as I own the Midas. I was planning on taking a Midas hd96 which they would kindly loan me to check out, but because of trailer space, I can't fit it in for this run. Hopefully on the next tour!
