Awesome vid, appreciate the covering the 10.5 stuff! That GTO is sick looking and it was hauling ass in the finals!

Hope 10.5 makes a comeback . It's crazy how much better of a tire a Radial is then the 10.5W . At this point Ldr is a faster class even with the limited rules package .

I do, as well. Does 10.5 have more power restrictions than RVW and Pro 275?
@TheKanglor7 ай бұрын
Yeah I like this class as well, think it's just in a weird spot between lots of the 10.5 racers doing no prep stuff, and the rest just making the move over to one of the radial classes. Even though the radial is faster, I personally think it's a shit spectator experience...way too much watching tractors going up and down, and if they try to run when the suns out, nothing but spin city.

@@varqtubei don't think its so mich power as it is chassis. The way the rules read, this is a back half chassis class and the give them 2" from stock for firewall location. Your pro275 cars are basically a full double frame rail chassis car, and i dont think they have the firewall restrictions. Some of those guys could be moving the firewall back 10-11".

@@jordynbradby8347 are they taking that much power out?
@jordynbradby83477 ай бұрын
@@MRX-rr5xf not necessarily but the 10.5 is a tricky tire to run power management wise, i maybe wrong here but they don’t run them hard early in the run like you would a radial

radials are faster

Could be wrong, but i dont thnkk they're the same cars. I think the chassis rules are quite a bit different for pro275.

Man, what happened to outlaw 10.5? It has not made the normal progression very slow? I mean outlaw, 632 is even quicker than these dudes.
@StraightLineMedia7 ай бұрын
Sorry, which 632 car do you see going 3.90’s and 4.0’s again? I must’ve missed that race.
@powermadracing51167 ай бұрын
@@StraightLineMedia Don't be sorry. I saw him go 3.96 when the sun went down final .. 632 in the 4.0 range, but really 10.5 is much slower than all the other head up glasses.
@StraightLineMedia7 ай бұрын
@@powermadracing5116 okay so here is where you’re wrong. First of all, the 632 cars live in the mid 4.1X zone compared to pro street who consistently run 4.0’s to 3.90’s. The Pro 632 record is 4.10, while the Pro Street record is 3.87. Pro 632 are also promod style cars, to where the Pro Street cars just that, real cars.
@powermadracing51167 ай бұрын
@@StraightLineMedia I know Wess went 4.10 back in 21 I thought this was old outlaw10.5. I remember bill Futch, and Mike stavorinos. Running 4 30's in a Immokalee back in 09 just expected them to be much quicker than a 3.60 275 car. I believe that's the problem. All the cars look the same hard to identify. Unless there's a willie barr's or as duck would call them sissy stick When I started 632 back and 09 I never wanted it to be a lightweight pro mode class
@georgesmith10147 ай бұрын
It really comes down to the tire at this point , the radial is a superior tire on a good surface ! That being said 10.5 was a much more enjoyable class to watch , less prep time and the passes were more exciting to watch ! I remember watching Joe newsham consistently carrying the front tires past the 330, let's just say if that happens with a radial car they are going for a ride
