Throttle lock is like cheap cruise contol. It just holds the throttle at any rpm. Great show always.

They can cut down American cars all they want but everything breaks & when it does they're easier & cheaper to fix. I'm looking at BMWs & Audi's right now but I have to keep reminding myself the headaches I've seen Craig go through & I don't have Craigs $$.

Craig when you get the SL home immediately change out the suspension/power steering fluid. Only cost a $300 for CH11 fluid with the special drain tool. This is good insurance for not having an unhappy customer immediately after you sell it dealing with expensive ABC suspension issues. Dirty fluid is the number one cause of ABC issues. Should be changed annually and nobody does it.

MMR on the Mercedes is around 6k. You need to sell for 9K after fees to break even. Good luck with that.

The Hummer being a diesel needs to heat up the glow plugs before it will start! That’s what the “wait light” is for.

The other Hummer looked like the yellow light flashed 3 or 4 times ( while Craig's only flashed one time). Putting the power pack to Craig's Hummer no doubt got the glow plugs hot enough to light the fuel. Your right.

I used to be a Local 720 Stage Hand high rigger. My job was installing and removing everything in the air at these events and conventions. You see those chain motors? On that, Humvee, it probably needs a glow plug controller and sender. It’s a box that goes under the dash and the sender is under the hood. To temporarily get it started put a towel or rag over the exhaust to create pressure and have someone crank it till it starts.

The throttle lock is a lock for the throttle. It allows for a high idle or to creep. Think yours has a glow plug issue. The wait light should stay lit longer than that.

Craig, long time viewer here, sorry to see that you prefer to make infomercials for Barrett Jackson than show us how a car dealership works.. Buying a Mercedes at BJ and selling it at a Mannheim dealer auction across the street makes no sense, besides paying 20%+ in fees on the round trip, you need to leave some money on the table for the buying dealer to make. There’s lots of youtubers showing you random cars at Barrett Jackson, but Craig was one of the few guys who would show you how to buy a $7k car at a dealer auction and turn it into a $10-12k car to sell to a customer. Now it’s just random purchases to make content after which he tries to sell the cars on at cost. It’s hard to find the previous type of content.

Diesels are really sensitive to voltage drop. They will crank but won’t start. A fresh battery and it should start like the other one did.

That may have been a Challenger Demon with some added slicks, because that was a wide body....all four fenders had wide body fender molding, so it was not a Demon 170 that comes with slicks from the factory but...only the rear wells have the wide body molding, not the front wheel wells, cost new were over $100K and selling for much more like the price you said but not what that one would have gone for....just sayin'. I'm sure I'm not the only that caught that?
