At last, an adult electric scooter with kick assist (but looks expensive). So, because it doesn't have a throttle, you're saying that it is street legal? I'm in the UK - we have some daft rules here. Good video man - Many thanks.

The street legal aspect makes it attractive especially as crackdowns on e-bikes is happening. I own a lot of e-things that I'm afraid to ride now. I'd feel confident on this. But as you stated, it's not compact. Bummer.

How is it going up hills?

It's a 250w nominal rated motor, so it's not the best at real climbs. You'll definitely need to kick quite a bit, but it can get the job done. You'll coast for a pretty short time on the electric system, but if you kick it up to a faster speed might be able to hold 3-6 mph on a very steep hill for a bit. Even the most powerful scooters still go quite slow up hills.

Downsides? How long did you ride and get to know it before reporting on it?

Downsides are that it isn't as fast as some throttled scooters, it is also big and difficult to transport. Rode it about 10 miles before this review and had experience with pre-production models. It's extremely fun to ride, but may not be practical for everyone.
