I LOVE them because there is finally a Christian Band that has a original or unique style into singing these songs I don't think there are many people who realize they are a Christian Band because of the style the way she sings these songs! I LOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH

This song was inspired by Layla Palmer, the wife of Kevin Palmer (lead vocalist of Amity Lane, formerly of Trust Company). Layla has a condition called Palindromic Rheumatism, which causes her joints to fill with fluid, leaving her in great pain for months at a time and barely able to move. Despite her struggles she remains productive and positive, and an inspiration to Flyleaf lead singer Lacey Mosley. Said Mosley: "She's an awesome person, and you would never guess in a million years that she has the struggle that she has. Kinda changed my perspective about the way that I complain about things, the way that I wake up sad for no reason, and then she wakes up just glad to wake up." xxxx i have chronic pain and other health problems x love this song and Laceys compassion and awareness xxx

She couldn't do it without so called Christians telling her she was leading a cult, fake, the antichrist and everything else because she went where the need was instead of preaching to the choir. A lot of people think this song is about God, but it isn’t. It’s actually about Layla, a woman Lacey knows who has a condition that renders her bedridden. Yet she is so overflowing with joy and thankfulness when she can get out of bed and go outside and walk around her own home. Lacey did an interview “Lacey Sturm: Wikipedia fact or fiction” where she discussed this. :) Many of her songs ARE inspired by her relationship with God, but just not quite this one.

I mostly agree, and I'm sure that's how the rest of the band felt when she left. But she made the decision that she felt was best, and the band obviously wouldn't want to just ditch their careers, so they will remain Flyleaf and do their best. I just think that it's kind of selling them short to write off Flyleaf completely without Lacey. The new singer has huge shoes to fill! It's hard to imagine that kind of pressure. Plus the band is mainly the same otherwise, and it never would have been Flyleaf without them either. Lacey alone probably would have been a singer/songwriter or something. I guess I just think that nothing is meaningless, for one, and second, that we should continue to support the band, as they now face challenges with their fan base since Lacey left. Peace Bro
