FlySky FS i6S Self-Centring, Software Update & Programming for a MFC-03 Unit

Welcome to my channel and thank you for taking the time to view this video.
This is FlySky FS-i6S -10 Channel Stick Radio Gear self-centering installation, Software updating and programming for a MFC-03 Unit.
I would like to thank Bob at Hobby Concepts-LLC for providing excellent guidance and great instructions on how to program the FlySky FS-i6 & FlySky FS-i6X units, which are similar in construction.
I went for this stick radio in particular because this came with the necessary components to install the self-centering spring system to the left stick. Whereas the FlySky FS-i6 / FS-i6X, you need to purchase this separately. Adding this small cost to these capable radios, brings these units to the same price as the FlySky FS-i6S radio gear.
The FlySky FS-i6S radio has further enhancements of being capable of 10 channels, touch screen for programming and easy updating of the software, using FlySky's website.
The other benefit is the AFHDS 2A frequency system, which means I was able to bind this transmitter to the FlySky FS-BS6 receiver. This will easily bind with all AFHDS 2A receivers including X14S, X8B, X6B, iA10B, iA6B, iA6, iA4B, A6, A3, iA8X and the A8S.

Hi Derek and thank you for watching. Hope you’re keeping well. Oh yes, the watch…you caught me out. I record my videos using my iPhone SE2020 phone and this is linked using Bluetooth to my Apple Watch ( old version mind, series 3). I can control the camera on the iPhone, using the watch as a remote. Quite a useful feature. As it allows me to put the iPhone on the tripod and control the on and off functions, taking pictures and such like, using the watch. Anyway, the FlySky radio… a very good value system and the online support is very good. It’s now ready for the Scania R620. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊

Hi Mark and thank you. Hope your Sunday is going well too my friend. Oh yes, this reminded of my days of installing business comes systems and my days of apprenticeship 34 years ago. Nothing fazes me these days, Electrical or mechanical, the engineer in me always comes out. These FlySky systems are really very good and very good value for money. The self centring system was a little fiddly, but take your time, it’s easy in the end. Firmware upgraded and now the radio is ready for the Scania R620. Yeh! I have the old i6 remote for mine and it was very easy to set up but this one looks even better! I know in mine when doing the self centering mod the little spring was very challenging to get in there, was not made for adult fingers to do! Good to see you got it all set up and Bob's videos are wonderful instructional resources! looking forward to seeing it in action!

@@JF-RC I think it's not comparable, GT5 is for other use eve with a lot of channels. We can sat that FlySky is a very good factory and this radio confirm the judgement. Ciao

Hi there and thank you for watching. Honestly on the FlySky radio is was a relatively easy job to do, the firmware update is really simple, great instructions from the FlySky website. As for the self centring kit, a little more tricky, but just taking a little pause to look at the fixings, then complete the steps and ‘done’. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊
