Appreciate the review. Think I met you on your Del Mar at Bikes and Breakfast at Eldersburg last weekend. I’m more often at B&B Poolesville on a blue H-D LiveWire. Hope to connect again in the future.

Also a Del Mar owner and I just sat on a Mulholland at Ventura HD. Bike looks great in black! The 1" smaller rear wheel results in only a 1/2" drop in seat height. At 5'7'' I can only get flatfooted on one side on the Del Mar and this one makes me a bit closer to getting both fully on the ground. The Mulholland seat is a bit more rounded and is more comfortable. The video claims you can put two people on it, but there are no rear pegs. With the much shorter seat you both be pretty skinny to get two of you on it, and resting your left foot only on the swingarm is something I would not be comfortable with. If you EVER intend on having a passenger this is the wrong choice. The risers the handlebars are mounted on raise it a few inches and the result in a very different feel on the bike--one I really liked too. It does make the controls more accessible as noted on the video. The below the grips mount of the mirrors don't work for me. All I can see in them is my arms. NO BUENO! I suspect the mounts might be able to be switched to the other sides and mounted above the grips. This is something I would have to know will work before I would buy the bike. It's not safe to be riding without adequate mirror coverage. The weight reduction is insignificant. It's the savings of deleting passenger foot pegs/mounts, and a 1" smaller diameter rear wheel and tire. The part I most admired was the smaller and fatter rear tire, and the more traditional looking sport bike treaded front tire. I'm sure that along with some different spring preload settings on the tested unit accounts for the difference in handling. My Del Mar feels way stiffer than necessary, something I hope to address at the 1000 mile service now just a few weeks away.

You're right about this being a good training motorcycle. I bet quietly riding on the range would be helpful. I think they could also add to trainers an electronic "clutch" and foot shifter to simulate the friction zone have a special software training mode that can simulate stalls. It would be wildly expensive to make 😂

The rake is also different from the Del Mar and the lower fork clamps are much higher on the Mulholland which is also contributing to the raised nose/low tail stance. You can also see it in the charge port door which is level on the DM but tilted on the MH.

Excellent review from a riders perspective. In addition to what was mentioned, the Mulholland’s foot pegs are mid placement vs the DrlMar’s forward cruiser peg placement. That will influence the feel of the bike. I’ve seen many reviews on the LiveWire models and this is among the best. I will probably buy one soon.
@MCCJustMotos6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I actually felt the peg placement really similar! I think the seat position was more different, but it definitely felt comfy.

5'9, 30" inseam here with a Del Mar. If you look at the angle of the battery fins on the MH vs DM, it's clear the bike is tilted nose up/tail down (different wheel sizes vs DM). Thinking that may explain the lower seat height. Curious - on my DM, I can only get balls of my feet on the ground stopped. Is it better with the MH? Also saw a comment from LW they have all kinds of accessories coming for the MH in the next couple of months including a fairing/windscreen of some kind which should help the wind a little bit. First thing I'd probably do is flip the mirrors so they're upright because you can't see a damn thing with them down like that. Hoping they offer a seat with a taller backrest as well at some point.
@MCCJustMotos8 ай бұрын
Hey! Yup, I think your spot on on the lower seat hight because of the tires/wheels It is noticeably easier to flat foot. Yes, I hear there are a whole slew of accessories coming out. I also know you can 100% flip those mirrors pretty easy!

Have a bmw ce04 actually though for the slight (3k) difference would think this new S2 would have been a much better choice. Longer range and as fast (with L2) charging. Rear shock is lacking on the CE04 I am thinking. Course to sell or trade-in the CE04 would be a massive lose of money probably. @@MCCJustMotos

Actually had written a reply prior to one posted but hit wrong button. What I typed was that it is good to see such a focused review between the two rides. Many times reviewers get lost in their thoughts and are not as focused on what they want to tell the viewer. Then again, if I was zipping down a road it would not be easy to stay focused on safety while at the same time talking about the bike(s). You know, that stupid human thing about doing only one thing at a time lol.@@MCCJustMotos
