Great demo..interruption of air flow over wing ..we can see how recover takes place. Using yarn to demo air flow ..great idea...this guy is always thinking. Yaw and stall

Excellent! Great to see pilots that know their stuff and also can teach!

Gunny - great video! The flow became much more detached in the secondary stall in the one series. I’d read that the secondary stall was more dangerous and this was a great visualization. Thanks!

Great video, I'm looking FWD to more videos and seeing that beautiful A36,

Every pilot should practice dirty stalls regularly, especially if they're planning on flying up here to Oshkosh. If you're landing on the 27, sometimes you'll be asked to make quick turns into final and you better know your low speed flying qualities when you're making dirty steep turns. Don't be Jack Rousch....(although he got bent up turning steep into 18R)

I wonder what the airflow would look like with vortex generators on the wing.

I used to own N38WB! E-1780! Looks like it has had some serious upgrades! I see the old Bose headset interfaces are still on the ceiling. Does it still have the big strobe power supplies?

Pretty cool to see the old girl on video! She's a great airplane. I replaced the strobes with Whelen LEDs. Saved 6 lb taking those power supplies out. Got 'em on the shelf if you want them;)

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I’m A CFII and have been doing more and more A36 training. What do you think about doing Falling leaf stalls as a way to promote rudder usage in the stall? Just curious.
@FlyWirescottperdue3 жыл бұрын
Good question. I have a video about the Falling Leaf in the Bonanza. It’s not a very good platform for that maneuver.

@@FlyWirescottperdue I don’t doubt that. Within the next couple of weeks I’m delivering an A36 to a new owner and new private pilot in Jacksonville I’m just trying to come up with a variety of maneuvers your videos helped greatly Where do I find that video?

Great Video & educational/entertaining. It shows how a simple distraction can lead to an unintentional stall etc. What’s scary is if a stall or spin happens while in any IFR or IMC or just through a cloud could be harder to recover when can’t see ground or horizon. Can one trained instrument pilot recover from a stall/spin at a higher altitude by just looking at instruments?
@FlyWirescottperdue4 жыл бұрын
I do upset recovery training with Foggles. That can be done. Recovering from a spin.... much less likely.

We should run a little yarn across the wing of the Yale and take a look. Probably won't like what we see.
