You should try to get the wheel repaired. So you'll have a back up suitcase.
@BagznBirdz3 жыл бұрын
That's is so right! I was thinking the exact same thing. Exchanging the wheel isn't expensive, and it can serve as a back up for work or for use on private trips.
@ptrinch3 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly. It's easy to replace and ball bearing cost less than $1. Makes a lot more sense than buying an entire new bag, but at least having a spare, especially when travel is your living, is a great idea.
@nobody___knows3 жыл бұрын
I thought the same - it would also be more sustainable
@_w_w_3 жыл бұрын
@@ptrinch The wheels on this particular suitcase is not easy to repair. They usually just replace the entire assembly. Depend on the suitecase, sometimes it's cheaper just to get a new one than to repair it. Though I thought the airline would have spare wheels for their employees.
@ptrinch3 жыл бұрын
@@_w_w_ That's looks like a Travelpro Crew 5. There is a screw on the corner that is the axel for the wheel. Unscrew it and the wheel comes off. Pop out the bearing, put a new one in, screw it back on. Cost is about $1. Don't feel comfortable messing with bearings? Buy a pair of new wheels from Amazon. Cost is $10. Don't feel comfortable operating a screw driver? Bring it in to a repair shop. Cost is $30-50. Don't feel items need to be replaced and we should just throw things away whenever little parts break? Then buy a new carryon. Cost is $200. Personally.. I'd probably replace both wheels since they look fairly worn down... but heck... your call.

Francis has the cutest bark when he's happy to see you and wants to play♡♡♡. Really super informative video. I was on a regional plane from CLT-JFK a few years ago and on descent we got about 6 seconds of extreme turbulence (wake maybe?), so much so that an off duty flight attendant going back to her seat after helping an elderly woman, kneeled down in the aisle and held onto the armrest until the plane smoothed out. That was the only fairly disruptive encounter with turbulence I've experienced until a year later. Also a regional jet from CLT-ATL and as I was filming the descent, it felt as if we hit something, the left wing dipped and it felt like we were swinging back and forth (I guess that's called yawing). That was freaky but it ended very quickly and all was fine. I'm glad that you're not scared by it. I'm happy American is hiring again. Hopefully there will be more fun loving and positive FA's joining you in the skies☆☆☆

These videos are very helpful in showing how much of the job is actually not very glamorous. It seems flight crew spend most of their time either in the aircraft, in the terminal, on the jetway, in a van on the way to/from the airports or in a hotel room rather than sunning on a tropical beach! You really need stamina to deal with all these ups and downs and you are a ball of energy!

@404notfound.....3 жыл бұрын
@@FlyWithStella Soo a wheel bearings goes on the spindle that allows the wheel to roll. That's those small bearings that fell out on the floor. They're also on every automobile but they are of course greasable, where on luggage they would not be. Over time the bearing gets hot and then the wheel separates. Sorry for the long explanation I'm a mechanic lol

Hello my favorite flight attendant! Would you do a video about turbulence please? Flying is the safest mode of transportation and I have literally flown over 100 times with none in the past 14 years so as a civilian who only flew for pleasure that’s pretty impressive at least in my head. Short story now. Picture it-1990 on a Delta from PBI to LGA and somewhere in the Carolinas we had intense turbulence. I took out my Bible (I am not religious but I had it for comfort it was my daddy’s so…) and started silently praying but publicly sobbing. The very advanced age tiny blue haired lady took my hand and tried so hard to comfort me. I have some quirks and was apprehensive when I boarded because I was one of the youngest on the plane at that time and when your number is up that’s it and I felt that with all the advanced aged passengers it could be….I know that’s crazy but I also know I am not alone in that type of thought. Anyway everything turned out fine and I know if something was to happen it would be too fast to realize it was happening however turbulence is very scary to a lot of us so if you could talk us through it and explain the cause and all a lot of us would really appreciate it. One more quirk-I was perhaps at my lifetime heaviest weight and was wearing a blue shirt. That flight turned out to be fine and ever since that flight I wear my lucky blue flying shirt every time I fly it’s a button down short sleeved cotton shirt so I either wear a tank under or sweater over. It’s old and enormous but I will continue to wear it on any future flights!
