Great video. I really like my Flywoo baby nano. It is my first elrs quad and I'm impressed how far you can go for a nano quad. I find it to be alot of fun so far. I have taken it through areas that would failsafe a D8 receiver and had no problems. 👍

Make sure in the Betaflight configurator 10.8 that you have the "Receiver Mode" set to "SPI Rx" and the "SPI Bus Receiver Provider" set to "FRSKY_D". To put the quad into bind mode type "bind_rx" in the CLI. Then make sure you are binding your transmitter with Type "Frsky D" and Subtype "D8". I hope this helps, SLOIG

@Justin Dubie, I don't have that radio but you need to make sure you are running the same version of ELRS on both radio and the receiver. I am not sure what Flywoo is currently shipping with. The 1.x versions are not compatible with 2.x versions. My understanding is the Betafpv lite radio 3 is still shipped with 1.x ELRS. But first I would try pushing the bind button on the radio. Dronecamps RC did a video on binding with this radio. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZiraqepatt2eqM If that does not work would go to the getting started guide for ExpressLRS: www.expresslrs.org/1.0/quick-start/getting-started/ here is the section on traditional binding

@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi Bobdi, yes the "BetaFPV LiteRadio 2 SE RC Transmitter 2.4GHz - FRSKY D8/D16" is a good entry level choice as it supports the older ACCST pre 2.x Frsky protocol which supports SPI Frsky receivers. I would caution against Frsky radios with 2.x FW which will not be compatible with SPI receivers as they are running 1.x FW. SLOG

@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi 65oon, if you are asking how you configure for this drone (ELRS version) in the Betaflight configurator, the receiver (receiver mode) = serial (via URART). Serial Receiver Provider = CRSF

Hello there Sir, thank you for your reply. But my question is how you choose RX on the Elrs Configuration , my Remote I used HappyModel TX 2400., What elrs they use on Flywoo baby FR, is it use ( pp, ep1 or ep2 ? ) So I can build and flash. ( not for Betaflight configurations) Thank you again

@@65oon the Flywoo Nano Baby comes with the Flywoo ELRS EL24E 2.4 GHz Receiver not the HappyModel (unless you soldered it on yourself). With the latest ELRS configurator you would select release = 2.3 (latest official release), Device Category = Flywoo 2.4 GHz, Device = Flywoo EL24E 2400RX. You will get a warning from the developers to use at your own risk as Flywoo did not send the developers a sample. Hi Zen, the Firefly 1S Nano Baby comes in 4 receivers configurations (PNP, SPI FRSKY, ELRS and TBS Crossfire). If you have the Plug N Play version (no receiver) you will have to buy a receiver and solder it on the flight controller. Looks like the FC does support SBUS so you could solder on a Frsky XM+ receiver. I think they still ship those with pre ACCST 2.0 FW or the RadioMaster R81 2.4GHz micro receiver which I know supports D8. SLOG

@@Combersome I would try running in D16 mode vs D8. Also, the ACCST FW version loaded on the XM+ might not support the FW currently loaded on your transmitter. Hello Lunatic FPV, the failsafe occurred 50 ft from where I was standing. The Nano Baby fell from the sky and went boom (no damage) 😆. I left it in on purpose to show flight time but did not mention it because it was not the Nano Baby's fault. It was the crappy HappyModel Molded JR Bay Mounting Case. It does not snap in very solid into my Radiomaster JR bay (I have a BetaFPV coming although not sure that will be better). Point being ELRS is new, the protocol is great but we have HappyModel and BetaFPV leading the charge (not know for great QC). So I do think ELRS will replace FRSKY D8 (way better range) and is good for $~120 whoops and nanos (lower cost than TBS crossfire). I would not use it on an expensive quad period, due to the HW being immature and the players involved. Here is my order of control links that I have: TBS Crossfire, TBS Tracer, ELRS, last place FRSKY D8. Cheers, Slog

Thanks for the video. It was very informative and enlightening. I just purchased the 1.2 version and look forward to giving it a try. Something that I’ve been toying with as I wait while it arrive and that is prop guards for flying indoors. Have you considered designing a set of guards or know of someone who has? If not, would you be so kind as to post some dimensions of the bottom plate that would aid in designing a set? Thanks.
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam, I looked on Thingiverse and did not see anything. If you really want prop guards, the easiest path would be to cut the ducts off a HappyModel Mobula 7 frame. Looks like the motor mount holes are the same. Also, it appears there is enough clearance between the front and back props for the ducts. If not, you can always trim parts off the duct since you are only looking at it as a guard and not a duct. Not to discourage you, guards on a Nano Quad will impact flight performance. I hope this helps. www.racedayquads.com/collections/mobula7-whoop-spare-parts-by-happymodel/products/mobula7-bwhoop75-75mm-brushless-tiny-whoop-frame-kit-by-happymodel SLOG

Hi Bersbug, sorry you are having issues. Sounds like you are a more experienced pilot but simple things you might try if you have not done so before is: - Swap out your USB cable. I have noticed some FCs are more sensitive to a bad cable (eg shielding issues or too long). -Try a different USB port or different laptop. -Run Driver Fixer from impulseRC. Link below if you are running Windows ImpulseRC Driver Fixer impulserc.com/pages/downloads -Double check that you can connect to a different quad if you have one. -Try pushing the boot switch and get the FC into the boot loader (DFU) and then re-flashing the FC FW. If you have already done the above, which I am sure you have, I would contact the retailer or Flywoo documenting that you have a bad flight controller and the steps you have taken. At a min you might get a new FC out of it. SLOG
