the funny thing is the IBO Full Mechanics has a full inner-frame comparable to those really old MG kits making them somewhat a 'pseudo MG' in terms of engineering.

Would love to see an MG amatsu mina, i mean bandai already got MG red frame and MG Blitz. Futhermore, after the amatsu mina, bandai just need to invert the black to white and voilà you got amatsu hana (probably gonna be a P-bandai)

Transforming gimmicks almost always suck though, if its not an MG its guaranteed to be lame and 50/50 if it is an MG. I mean its cool but you sacrifice so much for something you cant really display

I mean IBO FM give a bit of inner frame, so there is pros and cons about it. Its not all loose especially when people paint it over it do get real solid. But i hope nothing but improvements over time for FM and RE line cause i really love these lines and i dont mind to work a bit extra to make it better ✌️

Thank you for this video. This give me info on how different between MG & FM line. I'm still considering I should buy FM 1/100 Aerial or not when it came out in market. I like MG but seeing how they treat IBO with just 1 MG and many FM, I'm worry they do the same with WfM and MG Aerial will never came out.

you had to modify the back connector if you want to equip some striker packs on this guy. as far as I know, the connection slot is smaller/thinner.

I am not even sure if RE/100 is just for UC 1/100 non-MG. I think Bandai was using RE/100 as a test bed for the viability of selling non-MG 1/100 scale kits that look MG-ish. I think it having only having UC was a coincidence of its tagline of obscure, too big, or too costly for MG. UC contains so much MS that it is easy to pull from. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be UC Full Mechanics.

Having an inner frame I don’t consider a staple of the FM line, just for the IBO kits because of their design. Even the HGs had most of an inner frame

The parts separation is really lacking on the back if you look at some of the CGI renders with the vent details so that's a little unfortunate but it looks cool overall

FM is essentially just a name change for RE/100. RE/100 was restricted to obscure, big, or too costly for MG. Bandai needed to rebrand the line to start making well known Mobile Suits.
