Just one additional tip....FM has 10 pre-set tactics. This is what the AI uses for the opposition. You can learn to recognize the different styles of play by setting up a test save with a reasonable team....playing through the games. When you come across a vertical tiki taka for example then play that game as many times as it takes to make it easy to recognize that style on screen. Do the same for all the other styles. Thanks for watching

At the end of the day, we just have to play the money game and build the best squad possible and then play however we want. But then again, getting results is a big part of the money game and this tip surely would come in handy. Thank you, Phil!

thanks for the feedback mate....remember it takes a little while to master this...because you have to use your eyes and remain focussed throughout the match on the I-pad. I'll be looking at how I use the I=pad in game in the next one, but you saw some examples of what I see in the example games in this video

"Thank you for everything, Phil! Very interesting lesson, but I have a question (which you might explain in the next video parts): against a team that uses a Gegenpress tactic, how would it make sense to line up with engagement lines in a 4-2-3-1 formation?
@fm-oldmanphilАй бұрын
defending against a gegenpress is a bit like defending against a tiki taka. We will be covering that in a later video mate. bottom line is you need bodies in midfield behind the ball...try a low block or mid block against them for now.

Does the same thing work in reverse? For example if you came across a team that played with a high line would you increase the directness and tempo?
@fm-oldmanphilАй бұрын
really good question and the answer is I don't know. What we are doing here is trying to get the opposition to play in a way they don't want to by limiting their opportunities forcing them to play a different way. It really shouldn't matter how you attack...you set your team up to attack in a certain way and they will get used to that. There doesn't seem to be a reason to change your attacking style. However that could be another video series...attacking against the various AI styles.

This is great....love it! I just did a livestream with Ipswich and came up against stoke playing in a controlled possession. This is the hardest one to master and it turned out to be a chess game...so cool playing against it....eventually ran out winners by 1-0...very very tough to win...but the changes in the end paid off...great to hear this feedback......thank you
