Is there any possebility to re-code or otherwise make the illuminator not strobing? And also just the illuminator and not laser combined? I got the exact same two, I'll be using the laser as a flashlight but it would be nice to be able to use the illuminator too...

So there is no constant setting for the FMA illuminator? Lame. Is it at least a laser diode and not an led?

Major problem (sadely) : Color of aluminium parts, shapes of the battery cover (better on old FMA), covers for laser and illuminator, and this F****G ugly serial !!! And WHY A STROB ??? :(

Nicolas yeah for most people it’s a problem, I’m indifferent about it, although I wish they did make an illuminator only setting because I could see a use for the strobing. I typically just use my IR flashlight setting for illumination

@@proxxy04 Same, I have an Surefire M300V ... But for the price ... And above all, they never talked about a strobe, even in the manual. For me, look like an technical problem ... Laser with this power witouth an management card have this symptom ... And that often gives a very short life to the components of the same cicruit, so both lasers ...

Hey brother, F.Y.I. I just got the FMA AN/PEQ- "UPGRADED VERSION " and the I.R. cap is the same as yours. It has a "ring" if you will around the edge of the window that keeps the cap from seating flush o to the lens of the illuminator. I simply took my Dremel tool with a cut off wheel and VERY CAREFULLY ground it flush with the rest of the cap. Now it fits flush on the lens and almost no white light escapes . You could also do this with a razor blade if you dont have a Dremel. Hope this info helps. Lou

The current version has the ability to change the IR illum, from different strobe rates to constant on.

Have you experienced any problems with adjusting windage on LA-5C? Because mine is way off to the right, so in the leftmost position the dot is still to the right of the BUIS. On the other hand, the pressure switch on mine doesn't have the same contact problems as yours. So far, it seems that build quality varies greatly, which isn't very good news, given the price... : (

So mine is off to the right of my ironsight at a distance of 25 feet, but it also depends on the distance of the zero, if you’re trying to have a zero of less than I’d say 50-75 feet that may be an issue, but as you have a further distance between you and the zero distance, it being turned full left maybe be off at say 25-30ft but it may close that gap at further distances.

Also, the way you’re supposed to zero anything like a scope or a laser is the L/R U/D it’s where you want the laser to go, it’s where you want your rounds to go. So if the round is left of where you’re aiming with the optic or laser, you adjust the turrets toward the R on the turret. So even though the laser is in the furthest left position of movement, when you shoot, the POI is gonna be to the right of the POA
