Good show! You have got at least 50% of the target! By the way, your ranch is the ideal place to shoot guns, with the backdrop of the rock mountain. Great open place! Joe

Actually I wasn't too happy with my shooting yesterday. I should have gotten at least 80% of the target normally. The FMK's heavy and long trigger pull makes it difficult to keep my aim on the target. It is a gun designed for very up and close, life-or-death self-defense situations where you just squeeze the trigger. I am normally more accurate with the .45 but the gun has small dark sights and my dark sunglasses didn't help. Ha ha, I know, excuses and excuses. But I was just having fun and making sure the guns go bang when I squeezed the trigger. I have never been a pursuer of super-accuracy. I tell people that I am no Annie Oakley and my videos are definitely not an exposition of my shooting prowess.

Yours did better than mine out of the box... It took about 5 mags for it to start running well. So far, 1000 rounds plus and no issues (well occasionally it doesnt return to battery but that may be my fault). Watch your fingers the slide by the chamber is super sharp.

All guns have some break-in period. Glad your is running well now. Sometimes it is how we hold the gun that causes malfunctions, with one thumb unknowingly rubbing against the slide that restricts its movement. This gun is a great value. The California DAO is intended for emergency up-and-close personal self-defense shooting, not for super long-range accuracy on the shooting bench. With time. it could become one of my favorite nightstand guns. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@rmwtsou Thanks for the reply.. The only pistol I didn't have to break in was a Kimber Raptor.

You made that steel start singing with that 1911

Ha ha ha. My aim was often off because of the small dark sights of the gun and I was wearing dark sun glasses (to be cool). Mostly, I just wanted to make sure the guns work. Thanks for watching!

Just got my 9C1, 1 year update video? What grain ammo you use? Tried hard cast ammo?
@rmwtsou5 ай бұрын
Ha ha. The video was the last time I shot the gun. I have many guns and I don't really shoot that often, few times per year. Many guns I shoot one time and then they go back to the safe after cleaning. I have not tried hard cast ammo but I have heard it is good even for brown bears.

Ha ha. Too many to say, but I like the Browning High Power and the 1911 for pistols. Also Winchester 1894 for rifles.

I like the ergonomics of the gun but it seems really unreliable already. Trigger is total trash imo from the factory with so much travel so+$70 there. The extractor is too long and gets in the way of pulling back the slide cleanly. Glock 19 spring recoil fits in it and helps with slide returning to battery but you need the 13lb or 15lb one as the g19 spring is larger than the factory fmk spring. My biggest gripe is the quality control on the magazines though. My second magazine can only load 5 bullets in to shoot - Guessing an issue with spring inside there. Hope this helps anyone thinking about getting an FMK 9C1 G2. 3rd gen is already out - go with that one if you decide on an FMK.

One can order a 804 Fast Action Trigger kit from FMK for $63 and drop it into the gun to give it a short and fast trigger pull but I am not sure that would be legal to do in California. Yes, our legislators want us to have only the least up-to-date, least accurate and least safe guns (better yet, no guns at all if possible), while the military and police can have all the horribly "unsafe" state-of-art guns.

@rmwtsou gunshop I just bought my fmk from said it's 100% legal in california to swap ti the fast action and they try to upsell with every fmk 9c that leaves their shop.
