This was very helpful. I like the figure 8 concept for an overall quilt design. It’s straightforward and something I think I can “replicate” over a larger quilt. Thanks!

Love this! I like the flow of it, how easy it is. I did daisies on my granddaughter's quilt, and it was very similar to this - quick and easy, even for a newbie like me! Thanks, Rob, for another great tutorial!

love this idea cuz i have made a large quilt using half square triangles and Kaffe fabrics and wondering how to simply quilt it since the fabrics are so bold... This is the choice!! Thank you soooooo much ❤️❤️

I Use furniture polish on the bed of my sewing machine and on my wooden table. Works better and less expensive than the thing your using. Love all your videos.
@daveleeannheier56486 жыл бұрын
I would think residual oil from the furniture polish would soak into to your quilt and attract dirt.

What do you use your practice quilts for? Do you finish them with binding? Use them for wall hangings?

The quilt design is simple & the machine quilting complements it. Great work!! What about doing an appliqued quilt using medium to dark colored batiks?

Love the idea, thanks. I'd like to see as much free motion as you are willing to show us. Also like to see some needle turn applique, I can never get my petals round, they always have little points.

Really liked that quilt design for pinwheels. I would like to have seen more blocks quilted to see the design on the actual pinwheel.....hope I said that right. Oh, you said there is a drawing of the design, that may show what I want to see. Great video. You did a great job. You are always in such a hurry....pls slow down, just a little. 😊

Love the pattern the quilting makes. What foot are you using?

Your stitches are so even and neat. Mine turn out some long and some short.

Great video, did you mention and I just missed it about the stitch length you used or what your go to length is?
@CR05206 жыл бұрын
In free motion quilting, the feed dogs are down, so your stitch length is governed by how fast you move your quilt under the needle.

What kind of needles do you like to use when free motion quilting with the poly Thread?
@bernadinenelson52745 жыл бұрын
Bunny Nelson, Its interesting to do & fun, however I get confused as to which way I need to move my hands, Do I go to the right or left? I am right handed, but seem to be going left. Which is correct, and does it matter?

Rob, I've noticed while watching other people FMQ their material seems to push up like a pucker but yours' always stays flat. What are you doing differently?
