I have the same jet, I fly it with a 6S 3300mAh to the back of the tray. No gyro needed on this one. Flies awesome.

Was wondering where your true C.G. on this jet is? Ive had this plane for over a year now and scared to fly it , i have learned not to always go by the book lol

Yeah it was perfect on the forward side .. I have learned that f-18s are very cg sensitive .. they seem to like it on the nose Heavy side .. especially when the gear comes down , the gear is very draggy .. I used the 60mm per the book .. with the gear down you want the nose to tip a bit when checking ..

great plane, flight, landing, and video. this plane is super sensitive to CG. what battery pack are you using 3300 HRB?

Nice flying I’ve had my F-18 for 2 years. It’s one of my faster jets love the way it flys it lands great with no wind but definitely need speed and flaps in windy conditions. You should check out my landing on my KZbin page in 15-20mph winds.
