Modified FCX will destroy all others even if modified! Those and the swampkings are my go to. Flubbers with fix side wall issue. Velcro your tegu on the transmission and run the stock battery in holder. This way you can drop the body down. I run the rear scx link arms up front. If you go with the shock loops I showed you and the shocks you'll spend some time with a Dremel to modify the body but its well worth it!!! I love Furitek motors but I opted for MOFO BAM 4100KV bolts right up. All metal gears are a MUST with this motor. In first gear it slow crawls well and the the punch is amazing. In second gear its just bananas almost incontrollable. No need for 3s unless your making a drag truck LOL. Merry Christmas. PM on facebook if you want to know more....

Man, this is so cool.... I have been into 10th scale, but I did get my 8yr old daughter a scx24 JLU she loves and I have done a couple small mods... Really like the small class and ability to have really small area maps to run on, really gives the same satisfaction as larger with small space requirements. This rig here is insane, it's so cool how many options they are making for these units. Question.... She sees my faster rigs and at times wants just to drive faster what would you recommend for a little more speed without sacrificing its crawl ability etc where maybe it would be a little more exciting for here.. Pinion gear? Motor? Or is it just not good to go faster with it... Don't need super fast maybe like a 50% speed increase over what it is out of box
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
I love that your daughter is into it. That's so awesome. I would suggest the Buzzsaw motor from Mofo RC! It's WAY faster than stock but still has good crawling ability. Plus its a direct bolt in with little to now additional modification necessary.

Hi! what's the idea behind adding weight to the front? FCX24 already has too heavy front.
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
I always try to bias the front. When I add weight to the back I try to overcompensate and add more to the front. Also with the shock positioning the way it is, it tends to pull the front end up on inclines. I need a lot of weight to keep the front tires planted.
