Thanks for getting technical on shock length and what not! I don’t have a FMT to compare it to so this is great!

Chasing the Chaser. Just got back into the hobby over the last couple weeks. Been watching a lot of your videos. Thanks for the detailed content. Love upgrade vids. I used to be a sponsored racer in SCT and 1/8, even raced 5T. Sold everything about 10 years ago. Mainly interested in crawling now. But my first car arrived today the ARRMA Mojave GROM. Battery charging now and have even run it yet.

That Mojave GROM is a blast! I appreciate your viewership and awesome comments!

As someone that loves any type of short course or desert truck I was excited for this truck to come out, but if I'm being honest, I think it definitely doesn't live up to the hype that was created over it. It looks extremely cheap, it's slow, and I feel like for the money there are much better options. The HBX 3100 a is vastly superior in every way for example, not to mention the Mojave Groms. I know this is 1/24 but I feel like if this kinda truck is what you're looking for, the others are still small enough and wouldn't be considered large by any means.
@TheShopMiniRC5 күн бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! I agree that the Mojave Groms and hbx are absolutely awesome but this guy is definitely for a different audience. Especially indoor. It’s much smaller than a Grom.

Chasing the chaser. I very much appreciate the music in the running portion, as well as all the other information and insights. Can't wait to see how this thing does and what the aftermarket will do with it.

I really like this little guy and I was excited for it but personally I think the Mohave Grom for 20 more is a better option, or if you have to have the solid rear axle the HBX 3100a is the same price, brushless, has a gyro and 3s capable hobbywing ESC. I think if they lowered the price to the 100 range or offered it brushless for 150 it would be a much more appealing and better deal. Awesome video as usual man!

I figured out the math & it's a perfect 1/18th 8.5 foot width, & if you lengthen the wheelbase 36 mm, it'd be a solid 1/18th scale wheelbase too. these are working off the Dakar Rally truck dimensions as reference. & ur absolutely right scale IS math, not the ball park approximations that they usually label these trucks.
@TheShopMiniRC3 күн бұрын
I’m glad you are getting into the nitty gritty with the scale!

Chasing the chaser 😛 They do have a brushless ver of that fmt24, but it's sold under their Rock Hobby (I think) (or their Wow RC) brand, sry I forget which brand it's sold under, but it is indeed out there. & I'm pretty sure that the brushless version that'll fit right in r sold on the FMS site so u can get it & swap it out urself.
@TheShopMiniRC3 күн бұрын
That eazyrc Colorado is a MUCH larger version. Is closer to a 1/16. Not the same truck at all.

@@TheShopMiniRC Really? Call me yoke face. I see what u mean now. I completely missed the big size difference w as similar that they look in the pics.

I appreciate the review. You move the trucks so quickly, that it's hard to take in anything you're talking about. If you hold things slightly steadier, I think it would help the presentation. Maybe 3 or 4 fewer coffees ;P

Awesome video! Now that you've confirmed all the parts compatibility in different areas, that kinda seals the deal for me. Gotta pick one up and do a mini ultra 4 build with locked diffs. Do you think the chassis has room for a hobbywing fusion 16? im guessing it has to be about 10mm longer than a standard 370 motor. If the fusion would fit, do you think in a u4 style build it'd be worth the weight penalty vs running an fcx24 trans with a smaller brushless motor? Thanks for getting into the nitty gritty of all the specs and details, technical breakdowns are my jam!

I got mine on Tuesday, charged it and ran it on a dirt track and a baseball field the next day after work. Holy crap, this thing is so fun! And it's surprisingly easy to drive. It is pretty top heavy though, so it is easy to flip on it's lid, but that just makes driving it that much more exciting!

you move your hands too fast and ceaselessly. The damn thing is spinning around on the screen and the vid is an hour long. Yikes. But the truck does look cool.

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate you checking it out, i cover a LOT more content in my videos than 95% of the rc channels on KZbin. Yes it’s an hour long, but I have a ridiculous amount of information in there. I’ll see what I can do about less hand movement. It just how I am. I talk with my hands.
