“If it fits, it fits. If it doesn’t fit, it’s wrong”… This grasshopper will live by your wisdom, from this day forward! Great channel, thanks for you and camera crew do for us. I made the jump from RC trucks to planes because of your content. Keep up the great work!
It's the same motor/esc combo as the 1300mm pa18. Flies on 4s all day long. Even makes unscheduled landings in treetops. 👍

Brian I’ve following you since you fly off your sidewalk in front of your old house. . I noticed on Horizon Hobby that they’re selling the PNP FMS Typhoon 1100 for $199.00 while FMS sells it for $239.00 it looks like the same plane . What’s the difference ? Thx George

I woulda shoved that esc as far forward as posible myself i feel they should all be located close to the fresh cold incoming cooling air . kinda drives me crazy why they let such a critical part of the plane to just be flopping around the middle part of the fuse
@BrianPhillipsRC12 күн бұрын
Yeah, I hate that it's flopping around too, but if it's in a column of airflow, keep in mind, the front vs the middle vs the end, all these spots are getting the same temp airflow, and still cooling the ESC. I'm just glad others have chimed in and said the CG in the manual seems to be a typo.

there are 24 possible permutations of the guns mounting on the wing, so you didn't do too bad with the "plug and pray" method. This has been your MathMoment™ for today...

Thank you for doing this. It really helps us. Because our commitment to our audience to produce long format, we're pretty severely punished by KZbin in the way they make "recommendations" for our content, but we are staying committed to our audience. Thank you for reciprocating!!!

I bought this plane two years ago and built it up last year, it has a factory fitted reflex v2 but mine has no lead in the nose, i still can't cg it correctly to the book so i have never had the balls to fly it! 🤣 Some say to cg at 60-65mm from the leading edge i can just about get that with a 4s 2200 without the tray!
@BrianPhillipsRC12 күн бұрын
yeah, it was just fine where we flew her. Get her out of the hangar, and just be prepared with extra gain on the ELEVATOR, juuuuuuuust in case ;)

It was NOSE HEAVY??? No way - I think you must mean TAIL HEAVY... Either way, mine was great flying, and we did use a 4S 2200mAh 50C pack...I totally forgot I plopped that one in there and I THOUGHT it was the 3S...very sorry about that. A bunch of guys are saying it's supposed to be at about 60mm...which we were trying to hit 40-45mm CG...wish you would have kept yours, but possibly yours didn't have the NOSE WEIGHT that I could see in that front air scoop detail...right under where the battery sits down into...
@ThomasBrock7412 күн бұрын
The cable management is important because if you don't get the wires installed to where they are out of the path of the battery trays travel you will make the plane a miserable plane to fly due to the difficulty of getting the batteries in and back out of the model. If you make it to where it's a tough job to do you will not want to fly the plane because it will be a pain in the ass to get ready for flight. So the plane will end up just sitting instead of being used. In other words the plane will be a waste of money due to poor wire management.
