A couple of things I do in lower leagues is get right into the scouting section and search for all free agents who are unattached. Start getting those trials in ASAP so you dont miss out. If you search for at least 1 international cap that can be a good way to filter out the rubbish and find the better players. Also, start looking at your squad and look at roughly what system they could fit. If you have 4 CB but no full backs you could either go 3 at the back or you know to recruit wide areas. In the lower leagues again, I find it better to work with what you have then add the key areas you need rather than just trying to sign 15 new players.

(Some of those players will not cost a lot to get rid off if you are a big club like Tottenham) But Tottenham is not a big club 😬
