@@divyadalela119 if you have your basics sorted with respect to valuations, then you can go ahead with FMVA. It teaches you how analysts in real life do valuations. But, if you dont know the different valuation techniques then I wouldn't suggest taking up FMVA right away. If you are looking for theoretical understanding, I would suggest you to go by the following sequence: 1. Time value of money 2. Equity valuation (gordon growth, free cash flow, residual income, comparable company, precedent transaction) 3. LBO valuation 4. Real estate valuation Post getting an understanding of the above you can dive in straight to FMVA

Yes, I just enroll to CFI now. Once you enroll, you will be able to get all courses and take all certifications provided in CFI such as FMVA,CBCA within 12 months of subscriptions. Some courses covered in FMVA are also covered in CBCA such as professional ethics so you dont need to take professional ethics course twice as requirement to get certifications

I'm planning to get an MBA in Finance and afterwards get some certification as I will not have any work experience in finance at that point (currently working in Project Management). First I thought I will do the CPA afterwards but for that one I need one year of work experience with a licensed CPA guy. A good MBA in Finance specialization should equip you with more than you need in doing the financial model, but why focus on the modeling? Its done by the most junior member of a corporate finance team. If you will find it difficult to build models then the MBA you have is not that good to start which is the biggest problem at this point not the financial modeling skill. Assuming you are going for investment banking opportunities.
