After FNAF 6, William Afton is seemingly revived and comes back as Glitchtrap in FNAF VR as its own Virus. In FNAF Security Breach, we get the plot twist that Scraptrap (his true body) is seemingly back as Burntrap? But wait, isn't William stuck in UCN? Today we investigate whether Springtrap is truly back with help from the new FNAF book series named: Tales from the Pizzaplex - which recently gave us "The Storyteller", describing an eerily similar virus named "Mimic1" that seems to be behind the Mimic Endoskelton in the "Mimic Stingers" which in itself seems to be telling us Burntrap's Origins. But what does this mean for the larger story of FNAF? Is William Afton truly back or is this something else in control? Let's find out. Right at the end, I had a realization, this theory also leads into the theory that Glamrock Bonnie was "Decommissioned" to be used as parts for "Burntrap"... because William died inside the Bonnie Springlock Suit. To a mimicking AI, the only parts to repair a Bonnie, is a Bonnie.

Actually, if you compare the case of Burntrap, specifically the left feet, you will notice that the feet doesn't have the toes joints that the Glamrock animatronics have. It looks more like it is from an original animatronic (FNAF 1). I think Burntrap is a combination between the remains of Scraptrap and some of the missing objects from the galery at the beginning of the game. I think Bonnie is somewhere else.

Honestly, a comparable of the bones in Scraptrap and Burntrap’s hands should be done, as while both have one finger made of bone on both hands, I’m not sure they’re the same fingers off the top of my head, and That would be probably the biggest indicator as to the veracity of the video’s theory.

I like this theory. For one, IT DOESN’T DISPROVE OF THE ENDING TO PIZZA SIM. Secondly, it ties in a lot of loose ends from the games into a somewhat cohesive story, without being cheap and just rebooting the story or rebranding the story.

2 Things to add to this: - Burntrap IS actually the model's name in the files if i remember correctly, so its not JUST a fannon name, further implying the mimic retcon - Burntrap's purple eyes, not a single incarnation of undead William has those, springtrap has some metal eyelid shells around William's still present but decaying eyeballs with a haunted white iris, by the time of Scraptrap, his eyes are completely gone, replaced by endoskeleton metal eyes but with the same haunted white iris, mind that unlike the other animatronics, scraptrap's eyes do not glow in any way, no haunted white dot, no animatronic eyeball glow, his pseudo-endoskeleton is mostly broken and not working, or at least the head is. Burntrap's endoskeleton is fully repaired and operational, the purple eye glow indicates power in the skeleton, the need for a recharge station, and his newfound ability to take control of animatronics DIRECTLY, aka Freddy, while the others are more so influenced by him.

I mostly agree with this, except one thing. I do not think that the remains on the Endo are Afton's, I think they're the remains of the workers who got killed by the Endo, because in the epilogues it's also told that it mixes it's victims remains into itself, which further shows he's a replica.

Another possibility is that the story “Pressure” may be the reason that the Mimic has a springtrap suit and a completely new corpse. Literally anything possible, but the Mimic creating its flesh from his victims would definitely be way cooler.

One thing I think is worth adding is how in the epilogues it seems that the Mimic endo was intended to be part of the band, in The Storyteller we see that Fazbear is being secretive over the fact they are using the Mimic1, they don’t want Edwin to know about it, so what we see in the first epilogue? The animatronics arrive to the construction site, the Mimic endo comes along with them and the cleaning team from the Pizza Place take the endo for themselves, even pointing out how the band will be missing it's bassist, Bonnie, the Mimic has the animatronic ears, the claws and was meant to be part of the band. I think is likely Fazbear wanted to use the Mimic as Glamrock Bonnie, but shenanigans ensure and we know what happens, even that it also makes sense with the Mimic's actions, it keeps being a murder machine that does the order it was given at the beggining of the epilogues: "break the limbs and heads". Anyways, this is a great theory, only thing left to do is pray is true because is really cool.

When help wanted first came out, Matpat thought that Glitchtrap was just a copy of William. It would have been a fitting way to revive him, but in a way that no one expected. With the circuit boards being scanned into the VR game, it would make sense that the circuit board that was inside Aftons suit, would mimic his personality. This theory is really interesting, and it would explain a lot, but the princess in princess quest is supposed to be Cassidy. If she’s meant to torture William, why would she be in the arcade machines?

I 100% agree, but one small nitpick Glitchtrap wasn't a fan-name, nor was Burntrap. Both of them came from the files of Help Wanted and Security Breach respectedly. But I think the fact that they're clarifying that the OFFICIAL name of him isn't actually the one from the files, same with the Blob, actually does make this even more likely. After all, why clarify it, if the name was meant to be 100% foolproof?

There was also some code related to the entire getting getting trapped ending. The conditions for it are specifically labeled "Glitchtrap_Defeated=0/1"

Another interesting thing to think about is the possibility that the Mimic’s adjusting itself to hide in different animatronic suits in the Tales from the Pizzaplex epilogues could be building up to it finding Afton’s body (as it would presumably still be down there in the Pizzeria Simulator location) and wearing it in a similar way

My issue with this theory is that Princess Quest is a series of arcade games where we play as a yellow girl fighting off against Glitchtrap, and if we complete all of them, Vanessa is set free from Glitchtraps control. How does a arcade game defeat a virus, and why is Old Man Consequences in said arcade game?

They aren't normal arcade games. It's mentioned in the texts how they were just appearing in the Pizzaplex with no official order made. And were appearing and disappearing into different parts of the mall. So something supernatural is definitely going on with the machines.

And the Princess was called Cassidy in the files, but it was changed, and some theorists claimed it was because the idea of the Princess being Cassidy was proven to be wrong. But yet if that's the case, then the Princess Quest minigames make no sense and are misleading.

Glitchtrap IS a digital copy of William's consciousness, but Burntrap is just Glitchtrap uploaded directly into the salvaged remains of his old physical body. While he has more control in the digital realm, up until that point everything he'd tried had failed, so he uploads himself into what Vanny managed to salvage and mash together to get the job done himself.

I don’t think Molten Freddy and Burntrap are Cassidy and William. Let’s go back to PS. PS is a weird ass game. In PS, we play as Susie and “Fruity Maze” is the big reveal of her true identity. Her being rebuilt as her own person has so many implications, SHE is the girl Michael has to put back together, not Baby/Elizabeth. It also means that her relationship with William Afton puts into question everything we know about in fnaf lore, especially the heavily misunderstood MCI incident, “Fruity Maze”, and the fnaf4 bedroom containing Susie’s revived dog (The Mangle). William Afton is raising Susie in fnaf4 before the infamous MCI. Elizabeth is already dead and Michael (the Crying Child) is deeply traumatized by Elizabeth’s death and has personally witnessed it in-person (hence SL’s post-night dialogue segments). This is all important because we know that the MCI killer has never fucking used suits to kill his victims. He just comes into isolated spaces, stabs the kids to death, and buzz off suit-free. Hell, midnight Motorist and Fruity maze combine together to reveal that a William Afton is actually buried inside the dirt hole before and after “Midnight Motorist”. And let me tell you, the car the MCI killer is driving is Magenta in a sea of purple cars. We are actually supposed to consider the Magenta guy from fnaf2 and fnaf6 to NOT be a Purple guy, William Afton. This is stupidly important because the “save him” victim is actually the Magenta Guy’s son and everything about this kid is relevant to every fnaf game since fnaf2. “I always come back” Time to rip off the band aid. The killer is Henry and he murders Susie and the rest of the children in the MCI. The first victim before hand is Sammy Emily, the monster we’ve dealt with since fnaf3. The entire “Save Them” mini game is a huge nod to “Save Him”, a clear REPLICATION of the MCI, and we know that the Springtrap is involved with this evil. What’s more, fnaf4’s “Fun with Plushtrap” is actually referencing the fnaf2 location (the hallway, how we use the flashlight, the lack of doors protecting us, and Springtrap’s presence in the fnaf2 location). Why? The only night guard the fnaf2 location had prior to Jeremy was William Zafron. Only he could’ve dealt with this monster during “Save Them” and shut down animatronics (Springtrap and Freddy) like we did with Plushtrap. William Afton also left the mangle (Susie’s dog) alone, cause he trusted it, and Susie’s dog knew who Springtrap was (“He was here”). Why is so important to keep in track of Sammy’s existence/death and point out that Springtrap is alive prior to William’s fnaf3 death? Sammy is just like his father and his father is a goddamn evil hypocrite that cannot accept his son, unlike William Afton. Spring trap is heavily tied to father and son relationships. Especially abusive ones. It’s the sad and pathetic life Sammy canonically has had with his own father (Midnight Motorist). And we’ve known how Henry breaks people like he has done to Charlie in fnaf6. She barely can speak anymore. What’s more, Scraptrap and Henry are exactly alike. They’ve lied and pretended to be William Afton. Henry tricks Baby into thinking he’s William. Sammy/Scraptrap tries to trick you, Susie, into thinking he’s William and wants to enact a sense of cruel parenting, like the fucked up freak show he is. What’s more is that both Sammy/Scraptrap and Henry impress each other with the horrible shit they’ve done to their victims and never dares to say each other’s real names. Only they know what’s going on in their little feud, everyone else is dragged into the mess and gets warped because of it. Dave (The real William Afton present/referenced in Security Breach) and Jeremy (The real Michael Afton present in Help Wanted) picked up the scraps and took Elizabeth’s remnant as well as Susie’s to create the green-eyed Vanessa and the Ruin Girl.

@Sub Zero Yes, I believe that as well, My full theory is that the Blob has Cassidy it as well as the other MCI victims and the Blob is possibly filed by their agony. I think there are souls in the Blob though. I believe the other MCI victims are there because Cassidy is keeping Afton alive in order to torment him (Ultimate Custom Night) and the souls of the other MCI victims are stuck in the Blob, unable to move on until Afton is dead and they are given rest.

Why is everyone ignoring the fact that the Fazbear Frights series literally revealed who Glitchtrap is, he's the black liquid that came out of Afton's undead body and it was stated that whatever this shadow thing was, it then went to possess a circuit board which was later on transmitted to a video game. I probably didn't state it accurately as it was written on the books but I swear I remember Glitchtrap's identity was revealed there.

That's not Glitchtrap. That's Eleanor. They are a shadowy entity. Glitchtrap presumably never gets to form in that continuity as he was only still around thanks to Eleanor empowering him, she abandons him as Afton dies for good in a lake.

There is something that still doesn't sit right with me. If in the AR (or Special Delivery) game, some of the Springtrap's line are the same with some we can get in UCN. If Burntrap is just a mimic, why does he knows stuff from William's eternal torture chamber from hell? I think that's a loose end.

Maybe Burntrap contain some Fragments of William's Soul? In my opinion UCM happened inside Glitchtrap/Scraptrap after he burned in the Pizzeria but potentially before the Components where retrieved and used to create Glitchtrap Or maybe the Components where savaged before that event and Glitchtrap is the Mimic (an A.I. with only some Fragments of Afton's Soul) this is why he wants to create Burntrap/Resurrect Springtrap In this case the Fragments of a Soul may also contain Memory Fragments

wow genius, although it looks like the main villian of security breach is now the ai model recreating villians from the past i feel like since there's a lot of other non afton related things going on, like mimicing the missing children's incident, random rooms, and (seemingly) repeating characters like BV, elizabeth, (lol maybe jeremy too), and maybe charlie that either: -mimic1 isn't just william or just the glitchtrap virus but the every memory that happened in the franchise -mimic1 is just william but also copies all of his memories as he's there for mostly everything that happened in the franchise -mimic1 plays a small part, and maybe agony has some involvement as well, since it has demonstrated in stories like ITP that its able to reconstruct or mimic past events with strong emotions -maybe mimic1 is glitchtrap and plays a small part tampering with the global choreography system and the blob + gregory are in messing with it too random stuff i wanna point out which i feel this theory explains a lot: -could the endos be mimicing fnaf 4? its the only time animatronics are hostile to kids, and the only helpful animatronic being the fredbear plush helping bv is kind of similar to glamrock freddy, which would be kind of weird thinking about glamrock freddy being a bigger fredbear plush for gregory if he is bv. -the fnaf2 night 2 phone call says this about the older models "Those older models would always get disoriented with bright lights. It would cause a system restart, or something." and we see that carry on with the big flashing camera stunning them for a few seconds -maybe some more of the original 5 animatronic's behavior made its way into the glamrocks because there's one point in the game where they mimic fnaf 1 in a sort of fnaf 1 like office -i wonder if the mimic system has anything to do with glamrock chica missing her beak like toy chica did or if that's just a coincidence or agony -i wonder just how far the mimic system has control over the pizzaplex, for sure animatronic behavior, but how about things like the arcades which some mimic the plot of security breach and mimic from the faz frights? haha, i wonder if they scanned the charlie trilogy into mimic 1 as well. it would explain roxane wolf and twisted wolf, why gregory can enter freddy's stomach because charlie got eaten by twisted freddy's stomach cavity, how similar the underground pizzeria is in twisted ones is to the theme of the underground fnaf 6 pizzeria, how there's now the mall pizzaplex surrounding the fnaf 6 freddy's like there was in the silver eyes, how there's a security guard who catches people who trespass but also has a flipside to them, and the use of the choreography system. i think there might be a possibility at some point where part of the source material for the trilogy might be mimicked too but that's a stretch.

I may disagree with the mimic possibly being burntrap in the game as the tales of the pizzaplex are more standin of the existing game characters with different stories in those books. I would still think the creation of glitchtrap would be memory board of springtrap as they used those details to create the boards in the vr games and as glitchtrap would merely be a copy of william with him not being the original william afton but this copy would want to resurrect the original as burntrap

Isn't it stated somewhere that someone can be revived with enough remnant and also doesn't that basically happen with Mike at the end of sister location? Plus people can haunt stuff in this universe meaning it's very possible that William was pushed into the chip they scanned by Cassidy and used that as a way to keep him imprisoned in the "simulation" that was ultimate custom night. When the chip got scanned and the code got replicated William could have escaped that endless scenario he was in through the scan and became Glitchtrap only now he is trying to figure out how to either go back into his actual body which has a copy of his code or find a way to possess a human which he is trying to do by using Vanessa.

Burntrap is Mike Afton; Glitchtrap ordered Vanny to go down there and salvage what she can to create a new physical body for him, but what she found was Mike's remains, with nothing left of Scraptrap. Vanny combines Mike's remains with robotic parts to try to re-create the conditions that created Springtrap in the first place; since Mike's body "can't die" like his father. If you look at the original Springtrap design, the organic elements make no anatomical sense with how bowels are wrapped like vines around limbs; this was a visual clue that William wasn't just a corpse in a suit; his body had warped and twisted to marge with the machine it was trapped within; that's why all these variants are called "trap"; the person inside is fused to the suit and can never be physically separated from it.

We have not been shown that they somehow got different sets of 'powers' and instead, with the shared purple color and returning from the dead, it's only been suggested they have the same abilities. William and Mike where both burned in the fire. UCN happening might suggest William is stuck there because he no longer has any physical body that can regenerate; so there's no way for his soul to escape the spirit prison of UCN. But if Mike has the same set of supernatural abilities and his tissue was not fully destroyed, then it might be a good candidate for re-building into something that could harbor a digital ghost that wants a body. Additionally everyone seems to confuse the father and son throughout the series, which suggests that in more realistic terms they are as close as you'd want for organ donation/tissue donation.

The more I read the FNAF books from Fazbear Frights to Tales From the Pizzeplex I think the books and the characters in the book are meant to be metaphors for other events and people we know. That’s just how I feel sometimes reading the books.

Scott confirmed that some are DIRECTLY connected to the games for fazbear fright, the one not in the game continuation are the novel trilogy, tales are definitely canon at this rate.

Scott only said that the Novel series are non canon to the game's timeline. Fazbear Frights, Scott said that the story's relevancy to the game's universe will be on a case by case basis. Tales of The Pizza Plex on the other hand connects so much to what we see in the game, that it's hard not to see them as canon.
