I feel like it would’ve been cooler if the jump scares were more interactive like the jump scares in Alien Isolation, or the fan game The Joy of Creation. In AI, the way the jump scares played out depended on how the Xenomorph caught you. If it caught you hiding, it would rip you out of your hiding place. You tried running from it? It stabbed you through your belly with its tail. Even when you were simply caught there were various animations to dying. I didn’t even see them all in my playthrough. In TJOC, though they don’t have a lot of animations for the jump scares, they at least had the animatronics do something when they caught you. For example, instead of just screaming, Bonnie would punch you, or Foxy would slash you with his hook. The jump scares in game were a bit bland and boring. All in all, they weren’t scary.

It's actually interesting, you can see them moving in the cameras as well. And it's cool how you can actually hide from them, like they behave just like the other animatronics, but they freeze when looked at. Most other games that use this mechanic, they always know where you are.
