Was looking around to figure out why gas was leaking out of my motor, same motor as this one. Thanks for the run down on how this worked. Hope I can get mine working here soon.

Maybe you should have cleaned the fuel cup strainer just under the fuel shutoff? My GX340 does have dirt particles when I clean it.

I didn't really think about it to be honest, your probably right, it prob does have dirt in it. Thanks for Watching!!!

I inherited one of those 212cc predators new in box. It sat around in my garage floor for a while and one day I decided to put it on my pressure washer which had a GC190 Honda that I bought new. That Honda was the hardest starting POS I ever had. If it sat more than a week it took 4-7 pulls to start. That Predator will start on 1 pull after sitting for 2 months. It has more power, bigger fuel tank, low oil shutoff, uses slightly less gas than the GC190 and it doesn't bounce off the rev limiter every time I let off the pressure wand. Not bad for free eh? LOL

I hear ya! They are great motors for what they are, I still like my Briggs but for the price these simply can not be beat, especially the price you got it for haha Thanks for Watching!!!

@@fnaguitarplayer9 I really like the engine too for what it is. Just a cheap engine that can be used for work. And if it blows up, oh well. I would kick that thing to the curb for a 8HP or so Briggs to put on that thing.

Why are you running ethanol in small engines?

Don't feel sorry. I done the same on 3 of my machines. Too much procrastination. Oh ! It's too cold today. Oh ! It's rainy today. Oh ! I'm sure I done it......WRONG ! Nice touch with that wall plate (plug) @ 8:50.

I hear ya, sometimes its easy to forget about something like that. I think did another engine too, oops haha Thanks, I love diamond plate, it was a toss up between that and just chrome, but really like the contrast of it. Thanks for Watching!!!

Hey nice video. I ran across it today right after I started doing the exact thing on this same engine I got years ago from HF. The air/fuel adjustment screw is blocked from adjustment and removal. Thinking of modding the carb body with a dremel to allow removal and cleaning. Did you do this on yours? It kinda looked like it but wasn't sure. Mine is pretty fouled from bad gas.

Thanks. No actually the little brass screw broke off, so i couldn't clean that passage that good, but luckily the main problem was the main jet on this one. You can get these carbs brand new off ebay or amazon for less than 10 bucks too if you ever need one. Thanks for Watching!!!

Thanks, nice video, do you also pull and clean the emulsion tube or blow air and carb cleaner thru it before putting the jet back in? Appreciate your video's. Thanks

Your welcome, thanks! Not usually this one was not to bad so I just cleaned the jet and shot carb cleaner up through the carb and it was all it needed. Most of the time its dirt in the bowl clogging up the jet, but it depends on how long gas sits in them or if water got to it. Thanks for Watching!!!

Thanks putting a fuel filter on those is very tight. Sounds good.

Yes it is! At the time I couldn't find the in tank filter or i would have just used that, but I think the inline ones are much better. Thanks for Watching!!!

That's a quiet, smooth little guy. Don't blame you for getting it and it sure looked like you'd already cleaned the carb. Plumb sanitary! And that opposed Vanguard kept sucking air and quitting. Come to find out someone had replaced the fuel line that runs through the blower housing with a a slick, nylon looking line and when it got warmed up, it swelled. Went back with the Briggs rubber line and no worries. Get ready to mo, Buddy and pick me one!

Yes it is, yeah I just had to get it, I bought it in 2009 or 2010 i think it was. I must have, and just didn't remember haha I heard that, it must have not been sealing good. Its getting closer to mowing! Thanks for Watching!!!

@@fnaguitarplayer9 We've got 2 tulips up and I've knocked the high tops off the back yard 2ice so far so take a mower with you when you go to work. The growing might kick in while you're gone and you might have to mow your way back into the house!
