I remember playing the PS1 version first when I was 12 and I thought, This game is like pokemon because the maps are top view and you press on the dpad and you move to the open space. And I remember getting hooked to this game and me at the time I always got lost all the time and the furthest I got was getting to the floating city! (Before the Earth Crystal Shatters) And I followed the ship it and and couldn't find it. I remembering turning on the ps2 and have to wait because it would go back to the PS2 browser screen and have to select the PS1 Disc a dozen times and would load. Then unfortunately our house burnt down and the ps2 and game was gone. But thankfully emulators were introduced to me freshman in high school I played the old SMB 1-3 and Summer came then I got the ZSNES emulator and played SMW and the Hacks! Did not use controllers then had to map the keys on my keyboard! Then I played the old school final fantasies in my sophomore year! At the time I was confused seeing final fantasy 2 and 3 on NES and SNES realizing playing FF4 advance and FF6 advance were the same as SNES FF2 and FF3 and Playing NES FF2 and FF3 were English fan translations. Then, I found FF5 on the SNES! Luckily it was in english. Then the Nostalgia hit hard after 4 years. I had the ZSNES emulator and I played it. Regardless how bad the choppy sound, I was thankful. Then when I got stuck in the game, I downloaded the walkthroughs at school because I had no internet at home, Sometimes I had to leave school property at the end of the day and find wifi at the Super 8. Cause the school blocked sites that contained games. I downloaded games on my Acer Aspire Windows Vista laptop. I liked the music and downloaded the SPC sets! Living out in the middle of nowhere sucked because there were no Wi-Fi networks! I rode the bus all 13 years of my life. Now watching the gameplay now looks all like font graphics are replaced with FF2/4 on SNES. SNES FF5's Fonts has shadows under the letters and Numbers. But in Honesty, the original SNES version is the best! Sorry for this super long comment! But that is my story why I liked FF5 back in the day!

i have a similar story, except for the burned house... the way i play the games today was completely determined by having to play those games in the computers... even today i still play most games in the keyboard...even fighting games strangely enough...

Those extra superbosses aren't in the PS1 version, only in the GBA, mobile and Steam versions.

This vid is just so amazing to me, the PlayStation version was my very first exposure to Final Fantasy 5 and the one I remember most dearly. This vid definitely brings back a lot of nostalgia! Now of only there was someone who could record the soundtrack for this version, even though it's technically the same game as the Super Famicom version, it does have some differences in the instruments!

The instruments from the Playstation version of Final Fantasy V sound just about the same as Final Fantasy VII than the ones from all other consoles minus GBA which reuse music from the SNES version and the PC Pixel Remaster port.

+UltimajaCrystal search here in the Channel and u will find all the final bosses of saga frontier including the secret one... Breath of fire 1, 2, 3, 4 i have the final bosses here too... Xenosaga 1 i recorded the final boss... Xenosaga 2 i did Baal, dark kaiser edge, mikumaru, final boss... FF1 i did a secret boss rush, FF6 i did another boss rush in 2 vids... have fun...

I have a lot of nostalgia for this specific port of the game. The weird random encounter transition that sounds like a plane taking off, the muffled sound effects, the weird translation, the off-tune music with the notes that linger just a bit too long... it's not exactly a good port, but I certainly played it a lot when I had no other means to do so.

The best version is the original SNES version which has better sound, translation, faster transitions into battles and more about it that's makes it great! For anyone that has yet to play this game for the first time, I highly suggest you start on the classic Original version which is the SNES version there are so many Reproduction carts floating on Etsy waiting to be purchased. I'm so glad I started this Fantastic game using the SNES version and don't regret it in the slightest.

You can level them up at the Castle Bal (Galuf's castle) basement. Using lv.5 death/lv.5 doom kills the enemies instantly rewarding you with 5-7 AP. Combined with the Masamune and nearby save point, levelling is a breeze.

Hmm...well I think after 5 months you have already defeated them, but I will tell you a tip use Goblin Punch on both, and also use Silence on Magissa to not use any magic, and Sleep on Forza.
