I love GL Mario so I can appreciate how they kept him more ‘special’ than the other threats In V1 he was like a hellhound, a beast Mario.EXE throws you in a cage with that's SUPPOSED to kill you. In V2 it's like he wasn't even supposed to fight you, he just forces his way into the map and battles you anyway.

what I liked about the v1 of Golden Land is the up sprite terrifying and looks so good! His laughing sprite is also better than v2 i liked it instead of the glitch. The game over made BF terrifying (btw Golden Land Mario has some goofy sprites but has an intense banger to it!) the v2 has to be the animation where Golden Land Mario reveals his form, his down sprite and the design of him and the background

From what I’ve seen, their was a scrapped remake that did sound like a mix of new vocal and kinda the old instrumental. That one was the best. Also I hate that in V2 GB’s sprites just move the microphone to his other hand, and it bugs me so much

I like V1 so much better. It feels much more intense and the very little nuisances like the zoom in and Laughter in the middle of ths song just felt much better executed in the first version. V2 looks visually improved, but I still love everything else in V1.

V2 sounds more intense in my opinion, while v1 sounds techno-ish with metal. I just don't see how people think v2 isn't intense, even the beginning of v2 sounds more menacing than v1, cause v1 just throws you in without warning while v2 has a smooth and pretty intense intro beat that plays before kicking into full gear.

Personally I think the style of v1 and the overall feel of the song, visuals, and art go more with the vibe of a classic game character gone wrong than the modernized version v2 provides. I feel it’s supposed to feel like you were playing the game and all of a sudden a creepy amalgamation of the lovable character you were playing takes over and metal overtones seep in to the track rather than simple lighthearted melodies. It insinuates more disturbing and creepy images than the v2 as it sort of makes it less scary and more meta. It’s not supposed to feel like a new thing it’s supposed to be like a glitch in the code which is why it shouldn’t look like it was meant that way.

Ok, listen, I think the beginning section of the new one is awesome, but the part after that is just… disappointing. It feels so much less climactic and intense. The background not distorting as much in the newer version also just bothers me. If they could just make the second part more intense I would love it.

Just like I said about race traitors, Golden land V2 is FAR better than V1 for many reasons. V1 is painfully loud, with just a single guitar riff with nothing special or without any "PIZAZZ!" in it. Art styles is also pretty bad compared to the new one. Same goes to say with the GB sprites. While V2 on the other hand, fixes EVERYTHING I said about the V1. Its not as loud anymore. Instrumentals now uses different types of instruments such as electric guitar, drums, piano, and some retro 8-bit stuff. And Sprites are now very smooth and has an animation on going back to the idle animation. I'm sick and tired of people always go like "ErM AkSHualLY, Old IZ bEttER ThAn NeWw" Whenever an fnf song gets a remaster. Stop being blinded with nostalgia every single goddamn time, and just accept the fact that V2 is better than V1.

The V2 certainly wins in the apart from the designs, the instrumental, and the rest, BUT SERIOUSLY DID THEY HAVE TO LOWER GB'S VOICE THAT MUCH😡? Now you can hardly hear anything, which makes the most intense parts of the song completely ruined. Besides, I'm also not convinced by the fact that they have given the voices an effect like what is actually happening on a GameBoy, when there are very fast notes the voices end up being heard broken. So, (at least to my taste), the perfect version of Golden Land would be one in which the art, the animations and perhaps even the instrumental of V2 will be rescued, but with the voices and intensity of V1

Honestly i feel that V2 is better, the instrumentals on V1 and every other sound on it feels way too loud and spammy for my taste even thought it's rock it just abuse of too much sounds to keep the player intensed which in a short time will feel exhaustive, when V2 doesn't make things too loud neither too low (taking apart some of GB and BF vocals going slightly lower or louder than the instrumentals) the art is undeniable that V2 wins without a doubt. V1 makes the art more realistic with low framrates and all but they make his sprites way too rigid to the point that even an actual gameboy could make better.
