Recall the governor or ask for federal intervention in Michigan, or at least Flint? I don't know which of these options makes sense. The absence of democracy in Michigan, (aside from the referendum/ballot initiative process as the last vestige of democracy), is so acute it requires Federal authority.

To try to pin this whole issue on the EPA inability/unwillingness to take bigger action, is to admit that the local government ineptitude was/is so outstanding, that they needed the 'big government' agency to intervene and save the citizens. Look I don't think Snyder bears all the blame in this issue, but to go after the EPA is to admit that they were the ONLY ones who could have prevented this whole crisis. 'If only EPA had done it's job better, we wouldn't be here right now,' means: 'The Local Government? We know those guys can't be trusted, so why care about them? We can trust they were inept from day 1. But the EPA? How can they not come in and save us?'

Noone tried to pin the WHOLE thing on EPA. You clearly didnt watch it. As Chaffetz said (1:20:30) The state takes a big part of the blame, but the EPA tries to pin it only on the state and you dont take any responsibility.

Rick Snyder...YOU ignored the Michigan voters when we voted in November 2012 against PA 4 of 2011 the Emergency Manager Law by during lame duck signed another bill, PA436, Emergency Manager Law on 12/31/2012. Any person of good will knows Snyder is a man who has always been a problem in our State as a dictator who NEVER listened to the people. I can only imagine how Snyder dealt with the EPA.

The Governor needs to be locked up our fine with that money went to solve the problem in the first place but when into all areas corporate bodies pockets and the better pay it back or they should all be locked up. But now they want more money out of the taxpayers' dollars to pay for stealing from the taxpayers.
