You and me both! Can’t take a cut heavy enough to activate the chip breaker, so it’s either stringy wire or 6’ long razor noodles.

@@FNR I’ve made a dozen jigs for gunsmithing stuff. Every time I make one I bust into a fresh box of trash bags for all of the razor wire haha. Good luck on the rest of the project!

Why specifically a treadmill motor?

1. They are powerful, high speed, high duty cycle, and can be variable-speed controlled very easily; and 2. They are cheap and readily available used/rebuilt/NOS on eBay.

What did you use to adapt to the output shaft of the motor..

kzbin.info/www/bejne/paaxkoduba2kf68 Custom-made, threaded-on pulley. I later had to add some setscrews to hold it in place; in this application I have to run the motor backwards, and that wants to unscrew the pulley.
