I added an RMR to mine. I've put a lot of rounds through it. I've only had issues with some off-brand "gun-show-special" ammo that turned out to be very-very soft. Zero problems with decent ammo. Just need to get around to getting a suppressor for it.

After watching this, I did a research and learned FN made this in 9mm as well. So naturally I had to have one. I called around to my local gun shops and no one had one or had seen one in a while. Come to fund out FN stopped making them a while ago and now I have a white whale of a gun I am searching for. Great Video!

This was my first DA/SA gun. It has made me a far better shooter across all my different pistols. I carried an M&P for work and have always loved them. Since learning how to shoot a DA/SA correctly I have since left my striker guns in the safe and find myself using this gun and my 92FS more often. Highly recommend getting one, training with it and you will be very surprised

Got to standard in black. Love it. Absolutely go to war pistol. Great for hiking or camping. Stainless steel with corrosion resistant finish and polymer frame so it is impervious to weather, salt, snow, sweat. 15 round capacity. The safety system has decoder or cocked and locked feature. You can even lock it on safe with hammer down. The safety does not lock the slide so you can rack the slide to load or unload on safe.

Excellent review. And you have picked up a new subscriber. Your .45 tacticool is a bit naked however. Get a good RMR and light then she will be ready . I went with the Olight Baldr pro and a Swampfox Kingslayer. On my other .45 tactical I have a Holosun. Both of these work well. The Trijicon RMR is okay as well but quite personally I do not prefer it over the Holosun and I definitely do not like the price when compared to the Kingslayer. I own a ton of firearms but I can quite easily say this sidearm is big. Not uncomfortable but I won't be purchasing a inside the waistband for it either. One thing I would suggest getting if you do not already have one is the Maglula loader which saves a bit on time and wear on the fingertips. The SilencerCo Osprey 45 is the best suppressor I have found for this particular sidearm. And a happy belated turkey day and holiday season!
@johncashwell10243 жыл бұрын
You shoot yours a lot better than I shoot mine! I got a FDE FN-FNX45 Tactical for my birthday present from my wife this past March. Then I used my next bonus check to pick up the Coyote Brown Trijicon RMR HRS Type 2 to top it off. I absolutely love it. The only thing I don't like is the grip texture, so I added a FDE Talon rubber textured grip tape to it and it really didn't add anything to the size of the grip, but it is perfect for me now. I posted a pic on Buffalo's Facebook page.

another wonderful honest video I appreciate. i can’t decide which iam impressed with the most. the pistol or the one behind it . you two make a wonderful couple. i really love the taller sights. iam up in age, health issues, even my hands. some of my semi autos are extremely hard to work the slides. those tall sights are a trick. no problem shooting my revolvers . a few days ago I was sighting in shotguns for slugs. the federal 12 ga 3 inch hi shok 1 oz hurt me pretty good, the 2 3/4 not as bad . the 1 -3/4 Aguilar slugs not bad. i shot them through a scrap peace of treated 4 x 4 at I think 15 yards. I’ll test a little more and see if I shoot through a 1 inch hard wood board . back in the center fire black powder cartridge days the military would place hard wood boards at different distances and when it wouldn’t penetrate a 1 - 1/4 inch board that was the cutting off point. if it shot through the board it would easily kill the enemy. they did I know do farm animal testing and I was to they even tested to see how it would kill a government mule with same ammunition. how true about the mule tests I don’t know. but they for a fact did test on animals for several years. Nana and papa wishing you well.

I would like one of these or the one without the threaded barrel but with an optics cut. One of these in 10mm would be awesome! I have an FNX-9 that is quite concealable and shoots well. Although a polymer framed pistol, it also has a hammer, not a striker, and has the added safety of a double action pull. Thanks for sharing.
@gizmocarr30933 жыл бұрын
The difference from a 9mm and 45ACP is quite noticeable in the recoil department. Magazines full of 230gr ball ammo are a tad bit heavier too. You can tell pretty easy if someone shooting light loads in a 45. The sight picture with those sights should be nice to use. The DA Trigger pull is pretty impressive too. The only scary thing about this gun is that little tag hanging off the pistol at the gun store. It gave me sticker shock. 🎇😱🎇

my Ruger American pro duty 45 pistol has slippery nickel teflon mags, maybe you have the same, it does help for fast reloads, my Ruger is rated "constant +P" wich is nice for those 500 ft/lbs and higher underwood, buffalo bore loads. the Ruger American is a very soft shooting 45 as yours and a person no matter what size enjoys it. Federal has some crazy light weight 137 grain rounds in 45 product number AE45LF1 helps flatten out its trajectory going from 800 fps typical 230 grain to 1200 fps 137 grain factory velocity rating 5 inch barrel, i have shot 137 grain loads indoor but had not been to a out door place to use my chrony yet but they are as soft as a 9 mm or even less recoil then some full size 9 mm pistols due to such a big gun but light 137 grain bullet

Pretty dang good shooting there Hoss! These are really good sidearms for the price or were when I bought mine. No idea today what one of these would set ya back? I do know they were pretty dang hard ro find when I purchased mine. Funny thing was i had everything for the pistol long before I actually got it. I had already purchased the Holosun and picked up a nice Olight Baldr pro with laser. Laser is red. Holosun is green. Works well co witness and with the laser on it pretty much hits everything within reason. Where I did have problems for thw longest rime was holster options. I mean you could find holsters but not set up for use with the holosun or Olight. Now they are everywhere. I also purchaed a couple cases of 230 gr ball. And 4 extra mags. This is a keeper.

Hey, they do still make .45 acp! What an idea! Lol. Yes, I'm being facetious. 😁. I have shot one of these with a can on it. Very impressed with them. Love the .45acp. And to a lesser extent the .40 S&W. I carry a glock 23 and I've never been able to get the accuracy I prefer, but it is acceptable to 20 yards plus. The .45 through multiple models as been very accurate. But to be fair I haven't tested nearly as many models in .40. A great many 9s are very accurate as well. And they need to be if you need to double and triple tap. I love the compact models of 9mm these day. Some fantastic choices for concealed carry that allow you to hit where aimed. We live in an incredible time for firearms and ammunition, when you can get it. 😁 Great review again, my friend. Love your work! God bless all here.
