I really love the build, had to take some... creative liberties due to choosing an uneven/ sloped mountainside terrain, so my kitchen/ dining area is now elevated a half wall above all other areas, I kinda like how it's turning out

A head-ups on where within the camp radius we should built would've been good. I keep having to restart because I get too close to the CAMP edge limit. Like at 12:50 that step made me to restart again.

Oftentimes, I forget to say the quiet parts out loud. 😅 When I placed down the camp in that location, I placed the radius to where it just touched the two power poles by the road, giving me the majority of the semi level area off to the side to build the camp structure. With this build, and having a whole blueprint on hand for future reference and anyone who may stumble upon this reply later. Wherever you decide to try and build this camp, lay out the floors first, with a few floors to each side added to ensure the spot you're building in has adequate space to construct this build. 😅 Sorry for the very late reply, I hope you got it all worked out, and are happy with your build. That's a good question. I've been extremely busy over the last few weeks. I've got the footage filmed, but cutting down over 2 hours of footage into a 30min video that makes sense along with narrating it takes a generous amount of time. Part 2 will cover the rest of the structure. Hopefully it will be finished, and ready in the next week.

On this particular build I drew up the plans on my own, but I do use Google search to draw inspiration for a lot of my builds.

Depending on complexity I find it helpful to have the camp planned out before I build it.

It's been quite some time since I made this one. Perhaps there may be a few shortcuts that catwalks could introduce into this tutorial. However, the roof will always be a pain 7 ways from Sunday. Might be a silly question but how are you snapping your blueprinted merged foundations to the already placed foundation?

It just works? 🤷‍♂️ results not typical, and subject to change. They can be hit or miss. I don't know if the order in which you create the blueprint has anything to do with it, but I do know foundation height, and terrain has a direct effect on whether or not it will snap down.

Hm, obviously the thing with merging the doorways with the 2 half glassmodules doesn't seem to work anymore.

It still works. You have to use barn half walls, and break them, then place a barn full wall in. It doesn't work with other wall types so you have to use the replace option after you've merged the barn walls.

@@delfwiedemann6763 Thank you. My apologies on taking so long with part 2. The build gets pretty complex when piecing the roof together. I've got 2 hours of footage I'm trying to cut down to 30 min while keeping it comprehensive. Doing this while juggling my day to day affairs has been an ambitious undertaking. Hopefully the video delivers when I manage to finally publish it.

I can't do many builds because I started playing after season 2....so I don't have the glass walls. Hopefully they add it as a bullion purchase or something. After 2 large purchases, I've been saving it all just for this, just in case.

It really is a shame that Bethesda locked these walls behind season 2, and now they're legacy. With them becoming such a big part of the build system I hope they introduce a new varient in the future. Perhaps a set with wood frames? Maybe the rest of the industrial set from Fo4 would be sufficient? I don't see them going to the bullion system because there were many players who worked many hours to earn them, and others who payed upwards of 150 usd to buy them because they didn't have time to grind... so if they do re release them I would hope it would be in the top 10 reward tier for a future season to be fair to those who worked for it.

Whenever I place my bp of a chimney it comes out a bit choppy, the bp looks like a perfect rectangular prism in the placement menu.

When building the BP the parts will shift upwards, and you have to re drop merge them, but it saves time not having to re stack, and align them.
