@@nono-wc6gc my favorites are 2001, crest of the waves, wake me up, 2am. In that order for the singles. But i really like all the songs in the album, i think "under the radar" and "the sound" are really good and catchy, but the entire album is.

Might be wrong but sounds just like Yannis 😂. I noticed the same sort of set up in Wake Me Up. Also I’m interested to know who did ‘Sunday ‘ in the last album . I think this is an important topic to discuss because he obviously feels more comfortable and in control doing them himself. But to me sounds like he is being too precious and needs to allow someone else in at some point.

@Caradoc g yeah that’s fair enough but live they have the option to expand the personnel however they . They already hire Kit Monteith , Jack Freeman and Joe Price. But I don’t understand why they never record backing vocals with another singer doesn’t always have to be the touring musician either. It’s like they feel to uncomfortable to do it.

​@@chrisleary3883 Yeah, it kinda sounds just like Yannis 😅. I guess it was the combination of those backing vocals with that little instrumental transition by the half of each verse what made me feel goosebumps. I'm curious too about how they manage the backing vocals topic when recording. I'd say Jimmy and Jack probably prefer to focus on the instrumentals, and as Yannis' voice is easy to recognise, I'm assuming it's their way to make their songs sound the most Foals-esque possible. Maybe they feel it's not the right moment to change that yet. Sometimes it is hard to deal with an issue like that if you are used to work in one specific way or if you feel people might not like some backing vocals performed by another singer. But as you say, it would be interesting if they start to do so more often in the future...

Seems the same to me rather than much of an evolution/ rework, for example I remember how different the holy fire demos sounded to the end product I.e. milk and black spiders, everytime, out of the woods , inhaler . Shame as I was looking forward to this the most. As the name of the track suggests it rides the wave doesn’t really go anywhere. I think the album still has the potential to be as good as the 4th one maybe when viewed as a whole piece of work despite lack of diversity of tracks. But I guess we already heard 3 singles and 2 other tracks. The title track sounds promising but unsure what direction they’ve gone with on the recorded version.
